this is super fluke(the most memorable one)  :har:
Last month, I curiously updated my phone to it's latest droid version and found out it completely shit my phone. I mess my phone to the point it can't be use anymore because that random touch on the screen. :omgwtf:
So to get rid of this I think I might need to downgrade it back to early version.

After try search on internet for weeks but couldn't  find  any solution that can use with my phone.(Fonepad7 Fe171CG).

moreover while try with different methods that provided on internet right now. I accidentally bricked my phone(only USB logo appear and withing half a minute it turn off again). :rlytearpls:

a state where you your phone not boot up as normal and cant get into recovery mode and droidboot.
It can't boot into recovery mode no matter what.(push power button+volume up or a combination of these button not gonna change it)   :donthinkso:

the "fastboot method" which works with FE170CG with just their factory stock rom, "The flash .raw rom", which work with most of Zenfone and some other Fonepad. :donthinkso:
But my phone is FE171CG, its  stock rom has .zip extension and it can't be recognize by the update sequence. :rlytearpls:
it also has no "SD update" nor "recovery" in menu like other droidboot menu.

a week earlier,  I assumed I might lose it and Gbz of HQ JAV porn photo, forever. And stop working on its recovery.

but I couldnt get it out of my head so today I sat down and recall everything I have tried

1. I updated it with latest  stock rom from ASUS,
2. To try downgrade it back with only stock rom. I flash it boot partition, Splashscreen partition, and fastboot partition with different version of these files  from internet.

3. in the end i fucked up and end up with hard bricked phone.  stuck in boot loop, they called, maybe

Luckily there' are way to get rid off this and have  recovery mode back.
unfortunately that's not for my phone too.(it's for Zenfone).

ISo I think I should try...which i did, and yes, as always it's "fail".  I have all the tool and driver as they explained. But because it not for my phone.
each of the option meant for each of intel's  chip and and its series.

all the fies (IFWI, FW_DNSX, OS_DNX, OS image) they required are not for my phone.
Yet I have absolute no clue about what these file are. and where to get it. But from my years of working with as IT guy(mostly PC) I assume it something has to do with device firmware and boot partition, like PC need driver, HDD  partition and OS.

then another luck. I stumbled on this vid

that's where's these file come from "stock firmware" (IFWI, FW DNX) but what are OS DNX and OS image ?
well I got lucky read somewhere and they said the os image is nothing special just a fastboot.img inside you stock firmware  by altering its extention to .bin you now get OS image" file

then what about that OS DNX . this also lucky I realized that a guy in
http://vforum.vn/diendan/showthread.php?77472-Unbrick-Zenfone-2-Giai-phap-cuu-may-cuoi-cung-truoc-khi-den-trung-tam
he did it without OS DNX by using some flag on the program.

SO I conclude to get rid of USB logo in case their boot and bootloader(fastboot) partiton are fuck up.
You need
1.A fully charged bricked Fonepad 7 (FE171CG)
2. A firmware and it os image files (get it from ifwi.zip inside your stock firmware as you can see in video)(I use 2 file with my phone series + change fastboot image extensionto fastboot.img.bin)
3. A driver from intel and asus(find it on those totorial)
4. xfstk downloader.
5. "a working well" USB port
6. PC with withdow XP(in my case)

ok gather all the files in 1 folder anywhere on you PC.

cBHPETg.jpg

install software and driver(read tutorial)

1.run XFSTK click on "CLVP+ A0/B0/B1" at the bottom of program windows.
2.go to "option"  menu on  "download option tab enable GP flag  and set it to "0x800000807"  hit "ok"
3 then select each file in each category . 3 file and leave OS DNX blank. then hit "Begin Download"
4. before you process to download make sure device status set to 1 not 0 (turn it on to usb logo or plug it back will set this to 1)
5 after fews sec the download status will say " success: FW download completed! os download skipped"
other than this it mean you are failed to do it.

6. you phone will turn off and turn on and go into reboot by itself.
7. no dont turn it of or roboot. use fastboot to flash boot.img and fastboot.img from stock firmware.

WsSqn2R.jpg

Tada! now you have droidboot ready to perform a downgrade.

See you in next page

Now it's time to down grade or literally install it.

I found out that some one said that there'as method use to root the phone by install customed firmware.
And sometime they can use this to update real stock firmware(of course nobody try with Fonepad7 yet)

So I try

Download stock firmware form ASUS  in my case I download the "UL-K01N-WW-4.0.1.0-user.zip" just to feel like I start from the bottom and feell humble(bad joke forget it). I unzup this to get the (IFWI, IFWI DNX, fastboot.img)

then download "IntelAndroid-FBRL" can't remember where i get this

maybe from this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=57543871&postcount=1
download according to the link is tutorial then unzip it.

cLQktqP.jpg
OK  so we now have
1. stock firmware of Fonepad 7 FE171CG
2. a folder of  IntelAndroid-FBRL with 2 folder and 1 .bat file.
3. close xfstk or any program that use or connect to the phone
4. turn your phone into recovery mode connect to your PC
5. inside folder that you extract ntelAndroid-FBRL, run or double click  "launcher.bat"
6. it will ask you to type "ACCEPT" yes ACCEPT with all big letter. So do it and you will be prompt with option to choose
7 . pick T2 hit enter and look at your phone and wait till it reboot to android bot logo and Vampirefo Venue executing menuZkJYQUg.jpg
8. keep waiting till there're menu which let you choose appear.

9. copy your stock firmware to you microSD change its name to K01N_SDUPDATE.zip and insert it into your phone
10. select "toggle signature verification" once(dont know why I pick this maybe it sound like it will let me do OTA)

11. then select "choose zip from external SD"
12..after this there will be a menu which only 1 long line with a name of your newly put file ready for you to pick, so pick it.

.. now
13. wait till it finish install, select "back" and then  and it will reboot (it so fast at this stage I can't remember it clearly)
after that   your fone is back

I have carefully reading your tutorial from the beginning. You said no need to use os_dnx but, the screenshot doesn't say it. may i know if the tutorial that u have gone through using os_dnx? can you provide that file? doesn't seems to work without the file as I got message saying that Reconnecting to device attempt #1... so on..

. I'm gonna try this on windows xp (currently on windows 7) . Not sure if Windows 7 causes the problem.

Phone is fully charged, all requirments are fulfilled from your tutorial except i'm using Windows 7

I got same problem mentioned by

@NTTDOCOMO

This is the log error that I got. At the end of the link, it said "Timeout to detect the device, make sure to charge up your phone before flashing" but honestly, my tab is fully charged (the green battery is full). When I click Begin download, the phone just turn off itself (from the USB mode). I have tried this like more than 7 times.

Anyone here can help? I worked as a programmer in a private company and in my pe.rsonal opinion, this is the hardest ASUS phone to repair from unbricked. I cannot figured it out how to repair the broken partition! I came here after searching for this solutions for more than 2 months after my device got bricked! So, if anyone here willing to fix this, my paypal account is ready to pay.
