eNTITY 240 Posted March 2, 2016 Share Posted March 2, 2016 I made another thread like this but I didn't think anyone would notice that I posted it in there so I just decided to make a new thread OTL So this is like a completely different sonata; it's in the key of f minor, and this is the first movement out of 2, possibly 3 movements (i havent decided how many i want but it will either be 2 or 3). http://picosong.com/hU2H/ i unintentionally poured more of my heart and soul into this song than i did my g sharp minor sonata, and i only recently wanted to do a piano sonata in this key . as always, comments and critique, no matter how harsh, is appreciated :D Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
ninedaysqueen 3,134 Posted March 2, 2016 Share Posted March 2, 2016 1) much better than the other one I heard from you 2) the theme switch at around 0:58 is very sudden, it would sound more coherent (in my opinion) if there was some more build up to it. 3) the switch at around 1:50 is much better executed than the first one, though I can't quite place my finger on why 4) the no chord melody at 2:10 is very interesting. I'm digging that. 5) the sixteenth notes (I believe, I'm not so good at telling by ear) at 2:35 are a nice change in motif. The entire treble clef at that part is, actually. 6) the sudden abruptness at 2:55 is very effective 7) the end sounds more of what I was expecting from a sonata tbh, it feels very different from the previous parts but not disjointed 8) very nice ending Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
