So disappointed with JYP

They had the perfect opportunity to influence a change in fandom culture but they blew it!

Whether they kicked him out or he left on his own, they could've stood up to fans and asserted how ridiculous they are.

Instead they were silent. As long as companies continue to support the crazy demands and the overreaction, fandom culture will never change.

situation in referring too http://onehallyu.com/topic/292257-nbjyp-terminates-day6s-junhyuks-contract-because-he-was-dating-a-fan/page-2

OMG why blame him ? What is he suppose to do ? Date Imaginary Girlfriends when he is so good-looking ?

So this is basically telling all idols "dont you dare date a fan !" and it tells fans "dont you dare dream of 0,000001 % chance of an idol dating you.... not going to happen." LOL. i feel it does more damage to Idol Groups than it helps.

Stupid Rule.

everyone (including myself initially) keeps insisting that jyp kicked him out

yet according to more hardcore fans, junhyuk had previously expressed a disdain over being followed around and constantly being in the spotlight. just a month in he was already disillusioned with the velebrity life. people are just focusing on the girl and the idea of jyp kicking him out yet how about this perspective: the rumor of him dating a fan which led to a large part of his fanbase turning against him and isolating him, led to him leaving because it was the last straw.

seeing as the parting of ways seems amicable, i think the latter situation happened.

I think you're right to be honest

I'm sick of people blaming Junhyuk and sick of people blaming JYP when it honestly seems like the split is on good terms

Fandoms buy albums tho

That's the problem, fans shouldn't decide to buy an album because they think their fans are single. JYP had the opportunity to rebel against this mindset but he chose to throw his artist to the wolves for a profit.

I thought he chose to leave ?

That's what they claim but that's not the point

day6 were rookies, they were a band which aren't mainstream, they were underpromoted

chasing away the fans they had would be stupid, at best

Stupid from a business standpoint sure but that's not that box I'm thinking in. Day6 could've been a martyr for the clause.

Leaving or being kicked out isn't the point I'm addressing. It's the fans. Regardless of who's decision it was, it was obviously the fans' reaction that influenced it.

The NB article is very misleading...the exact translations from the Naver article is that Junhyeok terminated his contract. On Day6's fan page, it also said that. Idk why people are thinking that he got kicked out. Wtf, where did they get that information? I am sure that it's more than this "dating scandal" that made him leave

As a person who has been following them since the very beginning I can honestly say that Junhyuk was just not up for being an idol...

He continues to get emotional on stage and he was just way too oversensitive... He deleted all his instagram posts like at least 3 times and he told fansites not to take pictures of him on stage.... who does that!!!!

anyway.. I would be lying if I said that I didn't see it coming...

As I've said of the Hyungseung situation

If he decides to not renew his contract I hope he says "I dont want to renew my contract because I can't deal with B2uties anymore" call out these hoes.

Until idols stand up for themselves and companies start taking a stance in changing the idol/fan dynamics more idols are gonna wanna give up and quit

If the kid really did leave because he felt disillusioned with the idol life, how the hell did he get burnt out this quickly? Especially when they dont have many fans to begin with.

People can say idols can be replaced by 100s more all they want, but how long will it be until these replacements and other people get tired of it?

JYP doesn't know protect his artist when something bigger happens. Remember the mess that was with Tzuyu and others artist who passed through the company. He went back to the old habit of eliminating

ps: I'm not a JYP stan but usually follow some of their groups. I'm just disappointed with the kind of administration he has been a big fan of Sohee and Miss A.
