ShootAnonymous 831
My main reason for really looking forward to the last EP of Genius - seeing which eliminated player backs which finalist. Somehow the chances of an entertainer - non-entertainer divide seems likely, since Yooyoung Jiwon Hongchul will definitely throw their support behind one finalist as a group and Jaekyung'll follow the lead of her subaes. More importantly, unless the trio are that desperate to whitewash themselves of the bad rep they during the controversial eps they have no reason to support BoxeR. (since such an act won't be too effective in whitewashing tbh) A similar divide happened in S1 - Kim Gura in particular even stated his reason for supporting Kyungran was that he wouldn't be seeing YellOw after the program ended anyway. Due to the way things had panned out in S1 the disparity didn't really become a topic of contention; this season though... I wonder how the reaction from the KR audience will be in light of what had happened. On the other hand... will there actually be players who'll support BoxeR? lol he seems to have 0 respect from the other players rn... Even his fan Dahye has turned her back on him in EP11 :P but I think his ol' buddy YellOw'll still support him regardless of the barbed comments he threw BoxeR's way this EP. I'm more curious about the season 3 casts rather than the winner. I hope sunggyu or heechul is in Heechul said he won't be joining Genius though, and I don't think he's one to go back on his word. (otherwise it's likely he would've been one of the guests invited for the SUJU ep since his image in terms of wittiness/cleverness matches better with Genius than some of the SUJU members that were invited) Edited February 20, 2014 by ShootAnonymous
ShootAnonymous 831
EP11 discussion: Spoilers ahoy! Game was meh and aside from an itty-bitty of mindgames here and there and the last part between YellOw and BoxeR, it followed the pattern of most of the games throughout this season.... Betrayal + majority-rule. Genuius-team had 0% chance to win, right from the start. The problem was two-fold; BoxeR was/still is horrid at teamplay/MMs while Sangmin had already planned to sellout his team from the start. Only JungHyun... whelp I guess there's a reason one he's one of the few players this season not to get bashed on by K-netz. On the side of the Revenge-team: I felt that with Sangmin's betrayal-from-the-start their potential to perform in this MM became limited. For the first 2/3 of the game all they had to do was wait for Sangmin's signal and then press 0 or 1 accordingly. lbr, no skill required for this. Sighing at how slow BoxeR and JungHyun realised that Sangmin had sold them out. Even as a viewer the dude's actions looked mighty odd (or maybe he really is this fidgety and outspoken in other eps too just that the viewers don't see it). If they'd found out earlier the game might've been really fun. Ironically Junghyun and BoxeR's insistence on taking up places in the 'minefield region' made it incredibly easy for the Revenge-team to help rack up points for Sangmin in the earlier stages, but even with the BoxeR and Junghyun's obliviousness the Revenge-team had trouble closing out the game. As for the DM: Jung hyun's downfall can be almost entirely attributed on his reliance on one strategy. Should've changed it up a bit; given BoxeR's background (Mindgames aplenty in BW, and BoxeR himself famously out-mindgamed YellOw in that triple-bunker rush) he defo wouldn't have let the information obtained from watching Junghyun's previous DMs go to waste. Pity BoxeR irredemably splats when it comes to MMs.... >_>
