[Windows 8] I had some issues with high CPU earlier thanks to TiWorker and I think I managed to fix that. But when I open the Task Manager, my CPU is really high (98-100) and then it goes down. Is that normal? I don't think it did that before. e.e

Hmm can you try rebooting/restarting the computer? If it doesn't help then try to log in as administrator if possible.

Otherwise the last solution would be to boot in safe mode (F8).. but then there's something wrong. I wouldn;t recommand this unless it's absolutely neccesary.

I've already done the other option and clicked on repair and then on start where the computer last was good or somethjng and it worked
What's wrong with it???

Hard to say, could be anything really. In most cases I think it's that youre user profile is closed, the folder name is changed or there was a backup profile active. It could be due to a corrupt file or program somewhere. But thats just blind guessing in the dark, it really could be something else aswell. I'm not an expert myself. Anyway in the register there is still a profile ID active so it needed to be restarted.

I would suggest running a antivirus scan anyway if you have one, just incase.

Hi! I have 8gbs ram right now, but my laptop is able to expand to 16gb ram.

does anyone know if expanding it will raise my fps on games? My laptop is a pretty new and the fps is pretty good on some games but for some reason, sims 3 really lags on the computer I have now, but on my old computer which was horrible and had like 2gb ram & a 1.5ghz it ran smoother.

I get like 90fps when minecraft. I'm not sure about other games since I don't track it much. could it just be my video card? I'm planning on either building my own cpu or buying an alienware by next year.

I'm willing to give more info on my laptop if needed. I'd love it if anyone could help me.

More RAM will have an effect but fps is mostly limited by the power of the GPU. Since on most laptops the GPU is part of the mobo I would save your money and use it to build your own system that fit your specific demands.

I'm having problems with my laptop. When I switched it on, the screen is just pitch black and my caps lock & numb lock blinks continously.

this happened to my old laptop. there might be something with your graphics card.
have you updated your drivers?
if its not these, It could be the battery.
if none of these are the problems, it could just mean that you need a new laptop.

Could also be a bad HDD or a busted OS installation. My Windows install went bad and it also had the completely black screen. Didn't have the blinking lights though.

Okay, so like I downloaded this Microsoft Office 2013 from torrent.  Installed it and all.  But after that, I felt bad (I was feeling sentimental and thought the people must've worked hard to make that :._.: ) so I just delete it.

But then shits happens, and everytime I tried to open any .doc files from then on, my original Microsoft Word 2007 needs to configure first. Every.single.bloody.time.  The Word 2013 is no longer there, but the problem persist.

Anybody knows the solution here?

I have a problem. My laptop's INSERT and DELETE button suddenly stopped working.

Most laptops have removable keys - it's possible there's something blocking them, liquid could short them, or they're simply just broken. You have a few options from what i see. See if your laptop is under warranty and send it back to get the keyboard replaced, buy a wireless keyboard, or buy a new laptop.

It's rare to use your insert and delete button though, do you really need them?

When I touch it it feels normal tho? I have a feeling that I accidentally clicked something to make it stop working.  Cause these 2 buttons have functions like Insert & Num Lock and Delete & Scroll Lock.

I use the Delete for photoshop and I realized that the Insert isn't working as well. Still not used to using backspace instead of delete

I don't think there's any way to disable those keys unless you made a macro.

That's super odd, it should work in windows media player too, maybe try it and If it doesn't then maybe the file is corrupt?
