mc_razar 224
Hello. Could someone please help me with this problem on my tablet? This message popped up one time when I swiped left on my home screen and clicked on something but idr what it was. It's still on my home screen and I can't click on any apps. I can only use my apps if I use the square button to use my apps that were already open. Can someone help me remove this message? Thanks. Is there a gesture that you can do to launch Settings and clear the cache? What tablet do you have?

mc_razar 224
Yes Go to your Settings through the notification panel. Look for something along the lines of App settings. Select the Acer Home app and there should be an option to clear cache or data. You may have to do some digging to find it.

Salieri 4,473
Need some advice, should I buy another 2 stick of ram to get my desktop to 16? Or would my system be aright for now. I have 8gb DDR4 and wants to play games coming out in the near future. Edited October 22, 2016 by Neo Galaxy
sakurahanabira 6,633
I've been having a problem with my Samsung Galaxy Tab S lately. I've never had a problem previously but recently I've been having trouble with the tablet lagging on me while I'm trying to type to the point where the device freezes for a few minutes, followed by messages like "so and so program has stopped". Any idea what's going on with my tablet? I just got it two years ago in late November/December 2014.

But if you want to run games smoothly, consider increasing your RAM. You can check "Can you run it?" to see if your system fits the recommended specs for the games you want to play. The problem probably is in the device's RAM.

Was planning on buying 32 but would that be too much? It's up to you but 16GB can already run any other game smoothly, and you'll still have more RAM available. If you open/use other apps while playing, you might want 32 as you can switch to different apps without lag. I think it's also great for dual monitors? I can't attest to that though as I haven't tried dual monitors. What's your graphics card by the way?

When I boot up from my computer I have DS4 (for my PS4 controller), MSI afterburner (and another app that comes to lock my fps at 60), tend micro (for antivirus), Steel series engine, printer, bluetooth. All of them using 30 to 35% of ram when using chrome with it. My GPU is the AMD RX 480 MSI Gaming X edition (8gb VRAM) My current ram is the G.skull 2400 8gb ram but my motherboard only supports and locks down to 2100. Didn't relaize that until recently. Did you enable XMP in your mobo already? I'm curious about DS4. Is it just playing PC games with a PS4 controller? Are they not better with keyboards? Just configs the ps4 controller like an Xbox 360. I know my friend uses inputmapper and their both similar. I play games on my mouse and keyboard. Only problem is the way my keyboard is apparently way to sensitive /: but it just outputs to commands when I hit the wasd buttons. It apparently just makes my characters roll around. Will be getting another one in the next few months just to see. Also my father and brother uses my desktop for gaming when I'm not around and their more used to controllers than keyboard and mouse. Yea, you need to enable XMP in your BIOS. Here's a quick guide, depends on what mobo you have.

By default, most mobos now are set to 2133. Mine was like that when I got my PC. I just enabled XMP in the BIOS because it was disabled (I have a Gigabyte mobo) - and enabling it is recommended. My memory is now set up to 2400. I suggest you enable it first. If it's just really locked to 2133, I think it will require you to overclock to get to 2400. So I didn't really bother with the extra. I'll just try it but no guarantee it would work. Edited October 31, 2016 by Neo Galaxy

Shieler 12
Hello everyone, I need your opinion for a future purchase (I wonder if I can ask it here) I'm an ultrabook person and have been eyeing the Surface line...that design is just so tempting. Honestly I'm leaning more towards the Surface Pro 4 rather than the Surface Book for the portability but I wonder; if I max out the SP4 (the i7 one) will I be able to play The Sims 3, all expansions & stuff packs and tons plenty of mods and custom contents with decent frame rate? Judging the form factor of the SP4, I kinda doubt it provides an adequate cooling system. The one thing that worries me is that I end up frying an expensive device. I tried googling it but I'm afraid I haven't yet found any SP3/SP4 user who tested TS3+all that baggage. Thanks in advance. Welcome to the thread as for your question the surface pro 4 (max out version with the i7 -6650U and iris 540) should be able to handle it. Even the surface pro 3 can do it. I'm unsure how cool it will be but the pro 3 had a small fan (unsure if Microsoft has it on the 4) as for cooling if you don't mind it getting a bit hot, the fans should be able to do it's job considering it's the processor which provides the graphical performance and that part is usually hot.
