TaeYuSu 3,082 Posted May 7, 2013 Author Share Posted May 7, 2013 I used that system recovery thing, my system is back to the state it was when I bought it, before that I copied my files to cds, everything seemed to be fine. I have all of the audios I copied but the school folder got lost, I had everything from all of my current and past courses, it's a pain in the ass to loose it. I know there's not way for me to find these files on the cds, I am sure I burned that folder correctly. So, my question is...any way to get back the files I once had on my hard disk? Sounds kinda magic to me but yeah, maybe magic exists. There are some recovery programms arround. I would recommended Recuva. Just let it run and scan your harddisk and see what it finds you can check/uncheck what you want to recover. But don't expect too much. And it will probably be a huge mess. Never pick Norton it only comes with alot of crap which is really hard to get deleted from your PC. And Norton only annoys the shit out of you blocking everything. Free : Either pick Avast or Avira. AVG isn't that good anymore nowadays. There is also a microsoft virus scanner, Microsoft Security Essentials, but that isn't that good aswell. So if you choose paid i would either go for Kaspersky or Bitdefender. And if you choose a free version go for Avast or Avira. And those free versions also have paid versions so if you pick them and want them to be more advanced you can always pay to upgrade them later to a full/better version. I'm still at school learning to become a software developer. So yeah im quite interested in learning all those tech stuff. I had this with my laptop aswell, i had to use a laptop cooler 24/7 or else it would just get really hot and randomly goes off. I won't dare to try that. Yet. Hmm all laptops get really hot if there is dust inside, which i guess there is. Well you could try it with a Compressed Air Can / Air Duster or a vacuum cleaner. On the side where the fan is/heat is. Don't know if this will have any effect tho. So these days Windows Live Movie maker shows a black screen whenever I try to play a video (the audio works) I did some googling and I did the following - Downloaded Microsoft Fix It but it said I had no problems -Then I downloaded some program called 285.79 (Nvidia) but it said it couldn't be installed beause they couldn't detect a Graphic Video card (literally translated from Dutch if TYS is reading: [spoiler]" />[/spoiler] I don't know what to do and I'm clueless. So I checked this: I checked DirectX and still no problems? Whatever reason its not playin is probably the same reason why VINE videos don't work for me :| Weet je welke videokaart je hebt ? Al gebruik je firefox kan je flash proberen uptedaten Chrome heeft ingebouwde flash dus als je chrome hebt kan het niet aan je flashplayer liggen. Try updating your flash player aswell after that just reboot your pc and try again. I waited for like 10 minutes but it's still the same. Now everytime I open up uTorrent, it just freezes after like 5 seconds. Help? Try to download a older or either a newer version of Utorrent. We do use the desktop for gaming. Don't know if it'd be considered hardcore. We've got The Sims 2 and some extensions for it. So a desktop that could accommodate those type of games would be nice. Is that good or do I need provide more info?i have this one AMD X4 II 965 3,4ghz its arround 90$ - 140$But yeah intel is better but also more expensive, an i3 with 3,3ghz 110$ - 150$an i3 with 3,4ghz 130$ - 180$an i5 with 3ghz 170$ - 220$but yeah if you only play sims and those kinds of games you can go even cheaper on the cpu.you already have a list of what you want?
