Is Taemin Overrated?

I don't, and never will understand the hype behind Taemin... He looks like the older, flamboyant version of Kai, that is a bit worse at dancing. He is an alright dancer, but is lacking in vocals and visuals.

I believe that someone like Onew deserves a solo, instead of Taemin. Someone who could actually perform a song during live stages, without lip-syncing/playback.

Well, SM saw such an improvement in him that they gave him this opportunity. Hardwork beats talent (and other characteristics) sometimes.

Rated fairly. He's one of the best overall performers in K-Pop. Find me more than a few guys with his combination of dancing, singing, and stage presence.

Nope he isn't. I'm not a fan but it's obvious how hardworking he is, one of the idols who genuinely improved so much since debut.

Personally, I don't think so. He's amazingly talented and has shown huge improvement! His dancing is brilliant, and even though he's not K-pop's best vocalist, his vocals are definitely not bad. Of course he needs the songs to play in the background with the choreography he pulls off. I think he deserves all the recognition he can get tbh, he's an amazing performer and you can see his passion when he performs

you think he looks older than Kai, but he doesn't in my opinion. plus their age difference is only one year, you can't really say that he looks older because of one single year. ;_; and who are you to judge his dancing skills? i can't believe you that you call him 'alright' dancer after comparing him with Kai and saying he's only 'a bit worse'. what does that make Kai then? he is giving his best and constantly improving. with your negativity there i'm sure you haven't really checked out videos of him dancing

I'm Onew biased, but Taemin just released my favorite kpop album ever, so I'm not going to complain about him getting a solo instead of Onew. Although I definitely wont say no to solos by both of them 

 

Anyways imo no, he's not overrated. Taemin is a great performer, his vocals improved immensely and I personally find him really attractive. Triple threat right there

The guy went from someone who woud only get a few lines in songs to someone who's able to handle really hard choreo while hitting really difficult high notes almost without breaking a sweat. Of course this doesn't mean everybody has to love his singing and/or dance style but he completely deserves the praise he gets.

Don't play the Onew card. Its clear he deserve an solo. But in no way it mean u have to put Taemin down. 

 

Taemin have good voice, one of SMs best dancers, hard working, improving, all round talent. He isn't overrated, but deserve all recognize. He worked hard for it.

Alright dancer? lol he is likely the best dancer in SM. Not to mention a decent vocalist and great performer, is hardworking and has a solid fanbase so why would SM not give him a solo? SM idols tend to lip sync during promo, we know this so i don't see why you're making a huge fuss over Taemin.
