GLAY are a Japanese rock band from Hakodate, Hokkaido, formed in 1988. Takuro is the leader and formed the band with vocalist Teru (originally the drummer) while they were in high school. They were later joined by guitarist Hisashi and bassist Jiro. Each member contributes their own songs, with Takuro being the primary lyricist and composer. They are the 7th best-selling artist of all time in Japan and their compilation album Review, released in 1997, remains the 3rd best-selling album of all time. They also hold the record for the largest concert ever held by a single act in Japan, the GLAY EXPO '99 SURVIVAL at Makuhari Messe, which had an audience of 200,000 people.

I have this t-shirt too. I went to the San Francisco date in 2008. it's the one and only time I've seen them lol. I flew all the way from Ireland for it spontaneously because I met one of my closest friends through GLAY over a decade ago and she's from San Francisco, so it felt like destiny...
