If he seems interested, you should be direct and tell him that you like him. Even if you don't know, it's better to ask him out than to never have the chance. They either like you or not. If you want to know if he likes you, just ask him out. Who knows? Maybe he is down with it, but isn't making a move because he assumes you don't want anything more since you aren't making any moves. I know it's scary to ask someone out, but you will be relieve once you do it. Just beat the fear you have and will you feel better after doing it.
