Sira's debut title song "못 잊어 (Can't Forget)" was composed by Seo Jung Jin (서정진)  and written by Kim Ji Hyang (김지향) (click names to view songs they've participated in). 

 

Omg so excited!! Seo Jung Jin helped produce SEVENTEEN's "빠른 걸ìŒ" and C-REAL's "Sorry But I" (which would've done so well if they were still around and released it now T^T). Now I feel a lot less worried about Sira singing only melancholy, OST-style ballads! haha

Pre-orders are open for Sira's PHYSICAL MINI ALBUM on major Korean retail sites!!! It is scheduled to be released on 1/19, the same day as the digital release. Apparently, the album comes with a poster (limited quantity), too, so if you would like a poster you should order the album ASAP~

 

ChungChun Music seems to be going all out for Sira. As a K-fan told me, it's unprecedented for any of their artists to release a mini album (especially a physical version) so soon.

• Sira cried when she saw the "Sira's Dream" video. 
• Asked fans what kind of concept they hope Sira's going to have -- fan said "Innocent concept!" Sira responded, "Do I look innocent?! Thank you!" Ha XD Another fan commented "Something like ITSP" -- Sira said she LOVES ITSP.
• Innocent/sexy dance songs -- she playfully urged fans to look forward to it ////lawddd if Sira did stuff like Luna's "Free Somebody" X___X////
• It's very hard for artists/songs to break into the Top 100 chart, so if she DOES, she promises to have a special busking performance [other fan suggestions: fanmeeting, visiting her house (the studio lol)]
• She's very nervous and excited about debuting!

Phone convo with Heo Gak: They basically talked about being ballad singers, thanked each other for their support, etc. They've never personally met, but Sira mentioned that she actually kind of informally met Heo Gak during Hidden Singer's "King of Kings" special; sat behind him.

 

• Haein was sick and had a sore throat (which is why she couldn't sing along during the noraebang segment)
• How Haein and Sira know each other: Haein was so amazed by Sira's "My Best" performance and became such a big fan, she went out of her way to look for/become friends with Sira. They later found out Haein's friend was on Hidden Singer with Sira, too (Haein said "unnie"...so I think they're referring to the musical actress girl a.k.a. the-one-in-the-RDR-outfit??? N*White's Soohyun is def. younger. Don't know how old Hwanhee and the other girl are).

• On Haein crying: Sira was very grateful Haein reacted so passionately. When a fan asked if Haein was acting, Haein asserted that her crying was genuine. The way Sira put all her sincerity and emotion into every word just really affected her.
• On rapping: Featuring for HIGH 4:20 "Hook Ga" perfs was the first time Sira ever tried rapping. She was really eager to give it a try, but she thinks she should just stick to singing from now on.
• On choosing "My Best": During the position evaluation mission, there was only one spot left for singing -- "My Best". However, at that time, Sira wasn't really familiar with the song; Haein didn't know it either. Sira became really worried because Shin and Heehyun tried to convince her to join the "Rhythm Ta" team. (I think she went on to say she made the right choice because she's primarily a singer, everything worked out in the end, etc.)

27: 50 Noraebang/dance segment

• Neomu x3 - referred to I.O.I as "their family/Produce 101 representatives". Sira said Somi's part during the chorus is really catchy. Haein thought the kicks Somi does as part of the choreo are very cool.
• TT - Talked about how you have to sing it with an aegyo voice. They also changed the "neomuhae~" to "neomuhaen"... like "neomu Haein" ... Dorks XD
• Excuse Me - Sira wants to try a similar concept, something that's cute-sexy.
• Whistle - Haein's a big fan of BLACKPINK, esp. Jennie. Sira loves Rose's voice.
• Blood, Sweat, Tears -  ::fangirling and trying to do the choreo lmao::
• Troublemaker - Haein mentioned that Hyuna's gaze and expressions are really captivating when she's performing and Chungha has the same quality! 39:25 Haein shamelessly trying to kiss Sira

170117 V LIVE (with Kim Juna) Recap

• Writing for this album was the first time Sira did it formally (i.e. to be released).
• ë§í•˜ê³  싶어 ("I Want to Say/Tell You" or "I'd Like to Say/Tell You"... Idk the official English title) is Sira's favorite song on the mini -- partly because she wrote it ^^
• "Can't Forget" is apparently a very sad, emotional song. When she listened to only the MR for the first time, Sira felt it was dark (?) and sentimental. Of the songs on her mini, she thinks it's the song people will want to listen to the most. The process to record the song was quite long and difficult, as she put of lot of thought into making it perfect for fans.
• She'd like to have a fansigning if the opportunity arises.

Enter Kim Juna~!

(...and her getting embarassed about Sira repeatedly calling her "sunbaenim" ... and Juna making fun of Sira's bad pronunciation/speaking skills lol)

• Sira's album message to Juna: "You sing so well, Juna! Your voice makes me upset (in a good way). Always stay the bright Juna everyone knows (?) Let's work hard! I'm always cheering for you!"
• Sira then told Juna she's envious of her voice (specifically, the huskiness of it); Juna likewise. They joked they should switch voices. When Sira first heard Juna sing Jessie J's "Who Are You" in the first ep., she was so surprised and kept wondering, "Who is she? Who can sing so well like that?"
• A fan suggested that they should do a duet together and they heartily agreed. However, Juna jokingly explained "Contracts are scary" (i.e. things like that are easier said than done) so it might be difficult for it to really happen.
• Juna expressed she's really grateful she was able to debut thanks to PD101, especially after being a trainee for 4 years.
• Sira asked Juna for tips about performing live. Juna recommended drinking lots of water and listening to exciting songs before going on stage.

How Sira and Juna know each other: 

• During PD101, Juna would often introduce herself to the other trainees on the way to and during practice/filming.
• After they finished some sort of photoshoot for CJ E&M, Juna went to all the dorms and asked the other trainees for their phone numbers. 
• Last year, when it was Sira's birthday, Juna called and sang happy birthday to her.
• Juna is just very warm and friendly, in general.

25:17 RANK-QUEEN (ranking queen) segment

The girls personally picked their fave in each category.

• Sexiest: Chungha (both) - she's very skilled at showing various expressions, her gaze is captivating. When Sira was on Chungha's team for "Push Push", she was in awe and wondered, "Wow... We're both girls." (i.e. 'we're both girls, but how can she be so sexy and I'm not'). Juna called Chungha "a real girl crush". Sira watched Chungha's individual "Bang Bang" fancam many times to learn from her expressions and gestures.
• Most Innocent: Juna - Sira (as a joke?? lol), Sira - Chayeon; her ITNW ending shot was legendary. Juna also mentioned how "Doyeon's super pretty -- actually all of them were."
• Cutest: Somi (Sira) - her eyes are like a Barbie doll's, she really looks like a doll. Also mentioned: Yoojung and Hyeri.
• Girl Crush: Juna (Sira).
• Best Body: Doyeon (Sira) because she has nice proportions and she's tall.
• Best Rapper: Jeon Soyeon (both) - she's amazing for going through another survival/reality show. Juna stated she'd like to rap in the future, and Sira agreed. However, after Sira saw what she did on the previous show with Haein, she thought, "Why did I do that..?"
• Best Dancer: Chungha (both) -  She's short, but you forget when she's dancing because she's able to use her body and expressions well. Speaking of dancing, Sira realized that she's really meant to be a vocal after having to learn Pick Me ////wonder how serious the PD101 girls' Pick Me trauma is... can't imagine having to listen/dance to it 12411275235 times OTL///
• Best Variety Skills: Somi (Sira), Yoojung (Juna)

Sira considers Juna the mood maker of the PD101 girls; whenever all the girls meet up, Juna ends up being the MC.

• Best Singer: Juna (Sira), Sira (Juna); also mentioned: Yeonjung - usually singers have trouble/hurt their voice recording through the night, but she had no problems.
• What they believe they are the "center" at: Talking fast and having bad pronunciation (Sira), Eating (Juna)
• What they're lacking in/bad at (?): Aegyo (both)

Finally T^T She looks stunning!

 

According to last night's V LIVE and recently released news articles, fellow ChungChun Music artist Busker Busker's Kim Hyung Tae (who's the same age as Sira) participated in producing and directing the MV. He also was in charge of creating all the teasers and putting all the multi-cam V LIVE videos together. I believe he also helped out on the music side, too.

 

Sira's high notes she did that. why isn't she getting more fans.

This song is very vocally challenging, especially having to sing the entire thing alone. Unfortunately, Yeonjung seems to be experiencing voice issues lately due to a combination of overworking and being sick... and she only sings selected parts. Having to sing this song by herself seems really vocally taxing, so I hope Sira is able to take care of her voice T^T

 

I'm sure she'll gain more fans in the coming weeks! Although ChungChun Music is a small company, they seem to have a lot of connections. Her music is being distributed by CJ E&M/Mnet, so they will definitely try to promote her as much as possible. Sira already has a lot of schedules and opportunities many other rookie singers/groups from small companies wouldn't get.
