Chungchun Music wasn't able to take advantage of the post-Hidden Singer hype, since Sira was still a trainee... but the post-Produce 101 hype, right now is wayyyy beyond that (she went from having like 60+ IG followers in January to 8,300+ atm) ... They need to have Sira release something asap!!!

 

It'd be interesting to see if she officially debuts solo or if they form a group around her. Chunchun Music is an indie/"artist" company, so Sira solo activities seem more likely??

A K-fan I know met Sira at the í’‹í’‹/Fresh Girls' show she went to see in Hapjeong-dong, last week. He was lucky enough to speak to her and get her autograph, but since it was a somewhat exclusive event, and to respect his wishes... unfortunately I can't post the picture of her autograph here T^T Sira told him that she's working hard to prepare her album (mini or full? idk), though! If he's able to share any further information, in the future, I'll post it here ^-^

<Produce 101> was a hit. Out of the 101 members, when looking at vocals, the trainee who is charming is?

 

Chungchun Music trainee Kang Sira. [For vocals, the big picture is important overall, but the minor details/small moments are the point/are important, too (?)], Kang Sira has potential. It's unfortunate she wasn't able to stand out. Also, Star Empire trainee Han Hyeri's unique voice is uncommon so she's charming.

But I thought it was interesting how this article discussed 6/7 of Girls On Top - Doyeon, Sohye, Sohee, Yeonjung, Chaekyung & Hyeri - will be promoting "at the same time, at the same place" as members of I.O.I - I.B.I - WJSN (so.many.acronyms x_x haha). If Sira debuted earlier, when originally planned, Girls On Top could've had special stages of ITSP... Hopefully they can reunite once Sira debuts ^^

 

The K-fan that met Sira at the Fresh Girls show in late May said Sira mentioned her debut was supposedly slated for when "summer turns to fall", sometime in September I'm assuming. Since she's been updating her IG pretty sporadically lately, she might be busy with final album preparations??? Wish Chunghun Music drops some info soon! T_T

I was having convo with a K-fan about how awesome it would be if Jinyoung produced a song for Sira (currently obsessed with ìž ê¹ë§Œ/Hold Up/Hold On/Wait a Minute... whatever it's called in English LOL), when he told me a few things about Chungchun Music's supposed plans for Sira's debut.

 

* Not confirmed info, so don't take this too seriously! Just thought I'd share *

 

 

K-fan went to Honey G's event last week. One of the Chungchun Music managers told him that her debut release would be a series of ballads. It'd be difficult for them to release it as a mini album (I think he meant in the "physical album" sense), right now, so it's planned to be released digitally. If she charts and sells well, later on Sira will be able to release a (physical) mini album/full album.

 

K-fan also heard the managers talking about Sira's featuring with HIGH4 20. Apparently, Chungchun Music and N.A.P Ent. staff are close, so they set up Sira's featuring on The Show. Sira and the staff got a kick out of her image reversal and rapping XD K-fan said she's going to be promoting as "her usual self"/the Sira we're used to, so if you weren't down for ~ MC Sira In Your Area ~ don't worry too much haha

 

And since we'll probably seeing a lot more of her signed stuff when she eventually debuts, now I think it should be okay to share a pic of her autograph; K-fan got it a few months ago.

It's always entertaining seeing how idols handle their first V Live shows. Sira was super nervous! How cute keke I'm sure she'll get the hang of it the more shows she does ^^

Sira was asked which trainees she would kick out from the room and Lee Suhyun was one of them. Upset, Suhyun shouted, "Chunchun Music Kang Sira unnie! You're so mean!" during her interview. On Sira's Korean Wikipedia page, it also states that Sira was never given a special nickname during her time on PD101 - they always called her "Chungchun Music Kang Sira unnie" (apparently DSP's Shiyoon said this in an interview)

  -- Sira's grateful to Suhyun for coming up with the nickname, even if it was made from sadness. Feeling a little guilty, Sira asked Suhyun if she wants to do a V Live together lol They're very close, but since Sira's really been busy with album prep and Suhyun had I.B.I activities, they haven't been able to see each other.

During her first V LIVE, someone asked Sira about the nickname Lee Suhyun made for her, so Sira joked about inviting Suhyun on the next show. Considering how close Sira seems to be with the I.B.I members, I think any of them might show up on today's show ^^

 

Based on the schedule info, it's confirmed to be a MINI ALBUM (probably 3-5 songs). Still no info on if it's strictly a digital album or if there will be a physical release, too. I'd love to buy a physical copy! T^T

So excited about the V Lives! Do we know if there'll be an MV?

 

Ohhh that reminds me!! When Onehallyu was still down, my K-fan friend (the one who met Sira in May, last year) told me Sira DID record an MV -- that's what a Chungchun Music manager said to him at a Fresh Girls event in November. She probably filmed the MV in October/early November, because I backtracked through our convo and he told me at the end of November. 

 

Don't know if any confirmed MV info/news has been released yet. Maybe during the V Live show? We should be getting MV teasers within a few days though!

Summary of most of the show (in order). There were some parts I couldn't understand, so I left them out.

• Before PD101, Sira kind of knew who Sohee was, but wasn't close with her yet; Sohee's the dongsaeng of one of Sira's close friends (don't know if they meant dongsaeng as in sibling or just a close friend?)
• Sohee said Sira really worked hard as the ITSP team leader. Sira wouldn't sleep because she was trying to figure out how to make the ITSP stage better. Sira said Sohee noticed she was having a hard time and would listen to her worries. Sohee was a source of strength.
• Her name - Her mom came up with it. Sira personally really likes her name because it's uncommon (?) and it's easy for people to remember -- it sticks after meeting her only once.
• Nicknames: ê°•ì‹œ (Kangsi) - Chinese vampire-ghost-zombie (?) that hops around with its arms out in front. Cute version ^^
• ì‹œë¼ì†Œë‹ˆ (Sirasoni) - character from 야ì¸ì‹œëŒ€ (The Age of Wild Men). 
• Sira joked that it was fate to become a singer because the characters in her name are also music notes.
• Birthday: 1991.06.13 (Gemini)
• Blood Type: A
• Fave colors: Purple (because it's mysterious) and white (it's clean, often told it suits her well, can wear it with whatever)
• Fave season: Spring (Sohee's fave, too. Cue them randomly breaking out into "You are my destiny~" lol)
• Fave food: Bread (all the comments started saying "BBANG SIRA" haha) She'd be happy to eat only bread. However, when PD101 ended she had to give up eating bread because she had to diet.

• For Sohee, she is confident of her skin but she also envies Sira's lighter skintone (because she's considered more "tan"/"dark" or something, by Korean standards? idk). She went on to say that "if I were a guy I would...!" to Sira -- whatever that means? LOL She didn't explain.
• Sira said that she's envious of Sohee's tan skin because it looks really "healthy" and "sexy"; it really suits Sohee.
• Trained for 6 years. It was really hard and she was in a slump for a while. She often thought , "Maybe this path isn't for me?" Thanks to the fans and how things turned out on Produce 101, she's able to debut now.
• Besides Sohee, Shin/Ng Sze Kai was one of trainees Sira was closest to since the beginning of the show. She really misses Shin.
• During PD101, there were cameras in every dorm room that were on all the time (?). At the beginning everyone would try to hide when they changed, but by the end they stopped caring.
• Role model: Taeyeon (of course! haha). Sira said it was an honor and a thrilling experience being able to have a stage with Taeyeon during the final round of Hidden Singer.

Sira's debut title song "못 잊어 (Can't Forget)" was composed by Seo Jung Jin (서정진)  and written by Kim Ji Hyang (김지향) (click names to view songs they've participated in). 

 

Omg so excited!! Seo Jung Jin helped produce SEVENTEEN's "빠른 걸ìŒ" and C-REAL's "Sorry But I" (which would've done so well if they were still around and released it now T^T). Now I feel a lot less worried about Sira singing only melancholy, OST-style ballads! haha

Pre-orders are open for Sira's PHYSICAL MINI ALBUM on major Korean retail sites!!! It is scheduled to be released on 1/19, the same day as the digital release. Apparently, the album comes with a poster (limited quantity), too, so if you would like a poster you should order the album ASAP~

 

ChungChun Music seems to be going all out for Sira. As a K-fan told me, it's unprecedented for any of their artists to release a mini album (especially a physical version) so soon.

• Sira cried when she saw the "Sira's Dream" video. 
• Asked fans what kind of concept they hope Sira's going to have -- fan said "Innocent concept!" Sira responded, "Do I look innocent?! Thank you!" Ha XD Another fan commented "Something like ITSP" -- Sira said she LOVES ITSP.
• Innocent/sexy dance songs -- she playfully urged fans to look forward to it ////lawddd if Sira did stuff like Luna's "Free Somebody" X___X////
• It's very hard for artists/songs to break into the Top 100 chart, so if she DOES, she promises to have a special busking performance [other fan suggestions: fanmeeting, visiting her house (the studio lol)]
• She's very nervous and excited about debuting!

Phone convo with Heo Gak: They basically talked about being ballad singers, thanked each other for their support, etc. They've never personally met, but Sira mentioned that she actually kind of informally met Heo Gak during Hidden Singer's "King of Kings" special; sat behind him.

 

• Haein was sick and had a sore throat (which is why she couldn't sing along during the noraebang segment)
• How Haein and Sira know each other: Haein was so amazed by Sira's "My Best" performance and became such a big fan, she went out of her way to look for/become friends with Sira. They later found out Haein's friend was on Hidden Singer with Sira, too (Haein said "unnie"...so I think they're referring to the musical actress girl a.k.a. the-one-in-the-RDR-outfit??? N*White's Soohyun is def. younger. Don't know how old Hwanhee and the other girl are).

• On Haein crying: Sira was very grateful Haein reacted so passionately. When a fan asked if Haein was acting, Haein asserted that her crying was genuine. The way Sira put all her sincerity and emotion into every word just really affected her.
• On rapping: Featuring for HIGH 4:20 "Hook Ga" perfs was the first time Sira ever tried rapping. She was really eager to give it a try, but she thinks she should just stick to singing from now on.
• On choosing "My Best": During the position evaluation mission, there was only one spot left for singing -- "My Best". However, at that time, Sira wasn't really familiar with the song; Haein didn't know it either. Sira became really worried because Shin and Heehyun tried to convince her to join the "Rhythm Ta" team. (I think she went on to say she made the right choice because she's primarily a singer, everything worked out in the end, etc.)

27: 50 Noraebang/dance segment

• Neomu x3 - referred to I.O.I as "their family/Produce 101 representatives". Sira said Somi's part during the chorus is really catchy. Haein thought the kicks Somi does as part of the choreo are very cool.
• TT - Talked about how you have to sing it with an aegyo voice. They also changed the "neomuhae~" to "neomuhaen"... like "neomu Haein" ... Dorks XD
• Excuse Me - Sira wants to try a similar concept, something that's cute-sexy.
• Whistle - Haein's a big fan of BLACKPINK, esp. Jennie. Sira loves Rose's voice.
• Blood, Sweat, Tears -  ::fangirling and trying to do the choreo lmao::
• Troublemaker - Haein mentioned that Hyuna's gaze and expressions are really captivating when she's performing and Chungha has the same quality! 39:25 Haein shamelessly trying to kiss Sira
