I seriously think we all need to have an serious conversation about abuse and abuse victims

I think a long ass talk is urgently needed about abuse & abuse victims in light of the last events... As a law student and a PERSON/CITIZEN OF THE WORLD I'm deeply concerned...

I still can't understand how people like Kim Hyun Joong and Dr. Luke have careers, fans and people that defend them after all they did, and the victim blaming is disgusting. Most of the times sending the message that it's OK to abuse someone and that the victims should be quiet about it. I see an overall ignorance about how abuse victims act that seriously concerns me, maybe we should stop babying our teens and teach them about the bad things in the world and make them understand that NO ONE should abuse them and to report it when it happens and to people on the outside that abuse victims although they are hurt physically, their emotional wounds are much worse than the physical ones.

I have a great concern for this generation when I see young people defend people like them.

In light of some comments I read in this very forum and coming from kpop fans I think we need to talk, so lets do it!

People who defend Kim Hyun Joong do NOT say that abuse of victims is okay.

People who defend Kim Hyun Joong say that it was not abuse but just innocent roleplay and that she is making it look like abuse when it wasnt. So this is all about whether it was really violent or just some S/M roleplay. (which is perfectly normal to have. not everyone loves innocent lovely nice interaction but some people like to play bad boy/bad girl and add some kink to it).

Who is right about this ? WE DONT KNOW. I think only KHJ and his girl know the truth.

So its pointless to point fingers at KHJ or his girlfriend unless we get proof of 1 version.

Who decides that is the court that made him pay her for the ABUSE she suffered. S&M doesn't involve kicking people and left them with broken ribs for all that I know, doesn't involve beating people so badly that they spontaneously abort...

we dont know what happened. Yes, Injuries happen during abuse. Injuries can also happen by accident during S/M roleplay. S/M roleplay can involve kicking someone that it hurts. S/M roleplay can be very violent and painful. Actually, S/M fetish is about loving pain. So what is truth ? Abuse or Accident ? we dont know for sure. Lets just be careful with accusing someone of a crime if we cannot know 100%.

Of Course, its possible that KHJ abused her and deserves to be punished. But there is really no proof so i am careful with ruining his career over this. He and his girl might just be into S/M fetish. I dont know.
