Smart. Yes. Sony's been pretty lucky since E3. MP being behind a paywall gets overshadowed and mostly ignored because of MS' colossal fuck-up, and now this piece of news is being overshadowed by the 720p revelations. No media server support either. FUUUUUUCCCCKKKKKK!! Fwiw, media server support was patched in 6 months after PS3's launch...so it's probably just not ready for launch. But no mp3s is just stupid. oh no I won't be able to listen to music on a console meant for video games >.> what were you doing that you needed to listen to mp3s on the ps3 I rarely played music on my PS3 but mp3 support is really basic for a media device. I just use my mp3 player while playing if i want to listen to music. as long as it still has mp4 playback i'm fine. and possible extend that to mkv's with muxed subs and i'll be happy, doubt that though.
