At What Age Did You Move Out?

Impregnated by Eunwoo

At what age did you leave the nest of your parent'(s) and begin life on your own? What did you learn through your experience?

If you haven't moved out yet, when do you plan to and how will you support yourself? Or is moving out a thing in your country?

I moved out when I turned 18. It was hard at first but fun and quite crazy.

Still living with my mom. I'm 19 this year and as of now, I have no current plans on doing so.

Anyway, it's quite uncommon to move out at a young age in my country. I'm from SEA btw.

Cost of living in my country is high so it won't be easy to find somewhere to live. Homes aren't cheap where I'm from.

Even one of my cousin's who's married with a son still lives with my aunt.

I'm 18 years old, have not moved out yet since I'm still in high school.

I'm not sure if I should move out. The university I applied for is 1,5 hours by train + some walking, or 45 mins by car (I plan on taking driving lessons after graduation).

However you see, I'm broke as hell, so I think I won't be able to afford living alone even with a part-time job. Also my country has scrapped subsidies for studying last year, so students are only able to get a loan.

Living with your parents is much more convenient when studying; you get food, your clothes get washed, free water/electricity/housing-- in exchange for doing some simple chores.

Land is scarce in Singapore, so it kinda follows that property sales/rentals are extremely costly... I highly doubt I'm moving out of my parents' home anytime soon tbh. I'd help pay for utility bills, internet etc once I find gainful employment though.

Lmao, no, I'm saving to finish my studies and buy a small property (I help with the expenses and Iam completely financially independent so it's not completely free but no where near how costly it is to rent out). Planning on continuing my education in 2 more years so I'll probably move out by then ... that is when I'll probably reach my goal if I keep steady.

moving out isnt a thing in my country but idk if this counts, when i was at uni (19 yo) i lived at in a rented room for 5/6 days in a week and got back home on weekends. im also currently living by myself at home. im really used to live by myself since i was at school even though technically i didnt move out anywhere lol. i will literally move out when i get married tbh.
