ItzMadame2U 569 Posted May 19, 2013 Share Posted May 19, 2013 Based on the comic book series of the same name, The Walking Dead tells the story of a small group of survivors living in the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse. Most of the story takes place in the Atlanta metropolitan area and then the surrounding countryside of northern Georgia, as the survivors search for a safe haven away from the shuffling hordes of predatory "walkers" or "biters" (as the zombies are referred to in the show), who devour any living thing they catch, and whose bite is infectious to humans. The plot is focused primarily on the dilemmas the group faces as they struggle to balance their humanity with their survival against the zombie horde, and later, how they cope with members' being killed and deal with other human survivors they encounter, many of whom are dangerous and predatory themselves. The group is led by Rick Grimes, who was a sheriff's deputy before the zombie outbreak. At every turn they are faced with the horror of the walking zombies, the changing dynamic of their group, and hostility from the scattered remains of a struggling human populace who are focused on their own survival now that the structures of society have collapsed. Lol, I want to enjoy my summer, but I also need some Walking Dead. I've also finished through the comics (if you haven't read them, they are awesome!!! you can check em out on Youtube) which I thought would last me through the off season, so I'm officially SOL, except for when the monthly issues come out. Lots of action for next episode.. AHHH I CAN'T WAIT! Important note should zombie apocalypse happen. If someone is sick, regardless of being bitten or not, you still tell someone so they are aware in case you just.. die one night in the shower. Ps. I'm guessing the governor isn't going to return this season; judging by the S4 promos and such. Btw, towards the end if the episode, how did the glasses boy die? He was sick, it was alluded when he told Karen during "book study" that he was going to hurl. It's then alluded that the animals are starting to die off and there might be a virus due to it during the scene where Rick is farming towards the end of the episode and sees the dead pig. They're adorable, and if they don't start dating before the end of this season I'll unleash my personal horde of Walkers upon the show's directors. As for the episode, here's what I wrote about it a few minutes ago on my blog: I’ve finally watched the first episode of The Walking Dead's new season (I was too busy with university stuff and anime to watch it before), and I wasn’t disappointed by it. After the Governor’s defeat, that resulted in his subjects citizens abandoning him and joining Rick Grimes’ group of survivors instead, the prison has turned into what Woodbury should have been: a decent community of survivors, that aren’t kept together by fear and a dictator’s iron fist, but by a genuine will to help each other and make the life in the dark and grim world of the undead hordes better for everyone. However, there wouldn’t be a fourth season if shit didn’t happen: a group that includes Daryl, Michonne and Glenn goes scavenging for supplies in a place whose roof had been used as a helicopter landing place by a group of “survivors†some time before. Cue zombies and helicopter raining from the ceiling, and irrelevant character becoming Walker food. Shit didn’t really happen then, though, because it seems that there is an entirely new danger threatening the survivors’ lives (as if they weren’t miserable enough): one of the pigs that the survivors were breeding for food got ill in the beginning of the episode, and died at the end of it; one of Woodbury’s former “citizens†got ill too, after shaking hands with Daryl, that had a close encounter with said pig, and turned into a zombie. They managed to keep the zombies out of their prison, but disease still got in. Great. This might make paranoia and suspicion among the survivors skyrocket, and if it does, the fourth season will be a great season. Daryl and Carol seem to have gotten even more close to each other, too. I am officially shipping them. I know Carol seems to be a lot older than everyone’s favourite redneck, but I don’t fucking care. They’re adorable. As for Carol herself, it felt good watching her, a woman that at the beginning of the series was an horribly abused wife that couldn’t defend herself at all, teach the kids how to use a variety of knives as weapons against the Walkers.Without Rick knowing anything about it.
