We’re looking for two members who enjoy creating and hosting games, specifically larger scale ones. We prefer users who are willing and able to host games at irregular times (past midnight if they’re from the U.S.), or those who live in European and Asian time zones to cater to OneHallyu’s entire global community. We are looking for this due to concerns from users who want to participate in our games but cannot because of the big time zone differences. We will not ask you to host games at potentially irregular times more than once or twice a month.

 

Despite these preferences, we don’t want to exclude any users who still want to apply!

 

Requirements

  1. All applicants must have the time, communication skills, and motivation necessary to become a part of the events team.

  2. All applicants must be able to work well independently and as a team.

  3. All applicants must be organized.

  4. All applicants must have experience in planning, hosting, and executing a game on OneHallyu.

  5. If chosen, the applicant must behave in an appropriate and professional manner (especially when communicating with users). < This is the most important requirement during the review process. Being a part of the Events Team means you are a part of the OneHallyu staff, and we all share the responsibility of having good behavior on the forum.

 

Summary Of Your Duties

  1. Collaborate with events team to create small and large events.

  2. Collaborate with coordinator on the prizes/amount of tokens the winners are to receive (for both small and big events).

  3. Take turns hosting mini-games on a bi-weekly schedule and update the spreadsheet after the winners are decided.

  4. Answer user's questions during your games.

  5. Participate in meetings held by coordinators.

  6. Read updates made by coordinator in the events sub forum/update the events forum as necessary.

  7. Help to promote upcoming events via Twitter and announcement threads on OneHallyu.

  8. Don’t be afraid to give your suggestions/ideas (be proactive).

  9. Present your game plan to the team so they can overlook it and comment on certain areas before hosting it.

There is no specific submission deadline! We’ll keep the recruitment open until we can choose 2 people.

 

Once we have received your applications, they will be posted in the Events HQ and looked over by all of the Events Team staff members. We will give our opinions and narrow the numbers down to choose our new team members.

aww I really like hosting games. I would apply if I wasn't so busy
Actually I probably wouldn't. I don't think I'm staff material tbh and it seems like a lot of work :unsure:

Should I still apply for the events team if I already applied for the awards team? Can I be in both, especially since they shouldn't really contradict with each other.
