I wanna hug her too.....   Thanks to the fans for always supporting her.  I'm glad they did that.  

 

Jihyo can really be sexy if ever/whenever she chooses to~   She just really has it in her, physically, but she wanted more to move freely like a tomboy who doesn't give a damn what other people would think yet looking super cute most of the time.  Other celebs I know would go wild and all just to prove what they want to show that sometimes it gets too much to handle that they end up destroying their own image(if not their life).  But Jihyo... she's just super cool and she inspires a lot of people just being herself.  And I think that's badass in a good respectable level.

I really want to watch her other dramas.  Especially, the historical ones but I am too busy nowadays I couldn't find anymore time than watching Beauty View and Running Man updates.  I haven't even seen all the earlier episodes of Running Man yet but Since October, I started watching some of her dramas.   I feel bad that I didn't watch them earlier since I knew Jihyo before, I just really couldn't find time but now that I started doing so, there's no going out.  I'm completely captivated with this actress.  She has easily snatched the top spot on my bias list.  

 

I can't par her with the fame and acting level of Hajiwon and Jun Jihyun.  They used to be my 1st and 2nd favorite Korean actresses then Son Ye Jin and Yoon Eun Hye.  Jihyo wasn't even on the list but now she is number one.  I love how she chose her roles.  Her movies and dramas has some quality in them.  They make your head and heart ache but even if they do, it was worth watching.  To me, quality is always better than fame.  I can't really tell if I was biased but I really enjoy her shows.

 

 

Frozen Flower despite being controversial is one of my favorite Korean movies.  I had a HUGE respect for Jihyo with her braveness in accepting that role.  Even JJH and HJW would not do anything as raunchy as that but Jihyo pulled that off, beautifully.  I am old enough to understand what's the purpose of that movie and like Jihyo said, all the nude scenes are important part of the story.  And she was right.  Each of those scenes has a progression from her hating the guy at first, to the part where there was lust, then the part when they started loving each other and, lastly, to the part where they are willing to die for the other.  Even the confessions are so creative.  The emotions of the three main characters were executed well and all the other characters were not wasted.  If you haven't seen it yet....it is a must watch.  It is really good.  BUT..... do not watch it if you are not ready yet.  If you are not ready seeing her sexy back on that picture, you will not be ready to see her everything in the Frozen Flower movie.  Don't watch it until you are sure you're heart is ready. 

Sex is Zero 2 .....  I also loved this one.  But I hope you can see a copy where all the bed scenes and naughty scenes were cut.   This is the one that has too much bed scenes/sexy scenes that were just included to be funny.   I found myself skipping too much scenes on the earlier part of the movie but from the middle to the last part, the movie gave me lots of feels.  I like how they inserted the drama in a comedy movie.  Jihyo did not have any nude scenes there   I think.  I don't know if she was the one on the beginning of the movie who had an "erotic" (dream) scene with the male lead.  

There was a scene in Sex is Zero 2 where she was brooding and she had to swim towards the bottom of the very deep pool, sit down there for a bit, then swim back to the surface.  The director said she can have a double because it was a tough stunt to do but she refused.  She said she wanted to do it because it is an important scene so she trained for it.  

I recalled the second part of her 1st guesting in Running Man, in Ep. 3 where they had to swim in the pool to get the golden piggy banks with coins and she was telling Kwangsoo techniques on how to go deeper to the pool.  Of course, the guys would not let her dive down because they see her as a fragile "girl" back then.   I'm guessing maybe they didn't see her in Sex is Zero 2 because she could have easily done that if they had let her.

I don't know..  Jihyo is just something else.  I hope she get more roles that are produced well.

 

I think these two are the only 18+ movies she has.  I can recommend you to see Late Blossom because it is a heartwarming movie with Jihyo in it but she don't have so many parts in there.  Emergency Couple is not my cup of tea but it is decent enough.  Ex-Girlfriend Club is a little cringey but I absolutely adored watching it.  There were really great parts in Ex-Girlfriend club and is fun to watch but have to stay until the last episode.  It is a very light series so don't expect anything from it just enjoy the story, loved her outfit and the OSTs are beautiful.  It was also refreshing seeing Jihyo smile a lot there.  

 

I think these are what I have seen so far.   I don't want to see her in Goong because I know that she cried a lot there.  But when I get the chance, I will watch her historical dramas. DAyum~ so many episodes in those. I've said it and I'll say it again.  I didn't like Super Express.  I'm very sorry Mong Jihyo. But she was badass on the fight scenes.  Can't argue on that.

 

 

 

 

I already know Ji Hyo since before when she stared in Goong and Jumong, by that time she was just an average actress for me. Song Hye Kyo was my number 1 most favorite actress before. When i started to watch Running Man, that's how she slowly grows on me.  Ji Hyo is definitely my #1 actress right now, though I haven't watch any of the dramas wherein she's the lead actress. I'm busy so I still dont have much time to watch any   , I've only watched those dramas wherein she's the second lead/supporting actress. The only movie that i have watched if i can remember is where she and Jaejoong are the lead, Code Name: Jackal, but i didnt like the movie sorry.

She is!!  HAHAHA~!!!  Whenever I watch the intro, I always wonder how she does behind the scenes.  I figured she will be like this. HAHAHA~!  She really hates aegyo but she is one. 

 

I also knew her since Goong.  I'm a boring person who doesn't like what's trending so this is why I'm always late for the party.  I also did this in f(x). Ugh!  Goong was super popular in my country before but I was too lazy to watch it.  Also, I don't think(well, I don't know since I never saw the drama) she had enough screen time in there.  I only started watching Yoon Eun Hye in Coffee Prince and I loved her also in Lie To Me.  SO I didn't pay attention to Jihyo yet back then.

 

I watched Running Man only the episodes whenever an f(x) member is the guest and I really haven't laughed out of breath in ANY show than how Running Man made me so I was also super eager to start watching it.   Again, I didn't pay attention to Jihyo.  I'm a fail fan...     But since then, I always wanted to see Running Man.  I'm really busy and it took me another couple of years before I started watching the earlier episodes of RM.  That's where it began.  I think Song Song Couple was what convinced me to start watching.  The episodes were too long so I only started watching clips from YT.  Again, it never failed to make me laugh and make my day. Actually, RM is my therapy.  I really go looking for RM whenever I'm down.  It makes me forget my worries.  

 

Then I started building up favorite members and Jihyo is definitely the winner.  I started looking more of her shows.  There's so much to tell and love about her but one of the things that had me really genuinely love her was when I saw this.

 

 

 

There is another show where they went to the Philippines and it was on a different place.  She went there with Nichkhun and the others.  There are also great places here,  I hope Jihyo just don't see those poor areas next time she comes here.  

ANYWAY!!!  She's not just a pretty face.  She's a real person who has a big heart.  Her beauty and her talent is just the bonus.  What makes me like her is her personality.  Not just her warm heart and kindness but her coolness, her blank face, sometimes air-headed, sometimes genius, her game-on attitude and her sass as well.  I swear she is a complete package.

You mentioned that she was just an average actress back in Goong.  I also thought of her that way.   I saw Jackal(and yep, I also didn't like it) after I saw Frozen Flower.  I'm a scaredy cat so I didn't dare watching her horror movie so her first movie that I saw was The Frozen Flower.      My mind was blown!!!  I never thought my Miss Mong can act so well.  I don't want to spoil so I will not tell my favorite scene but it is really an emotional movie and you will feel for all the characters.  That was Song Joongki's debut movie btw.  I think she really did a great job in it.  I remember Yoo In Ah complementing how Jihyo delivers her lines very well and distinctively in Frozen Flower.  So, I guess, it is an actor standard in Korea that is of a higher level.  

 

I think actors are really great actors when they can make the viewer feel and believe that each of the character they portray is different from the other.  Regardless how similar or different the acting technique used is.  Jihyo is one of those unique actors that are giving of the same acting but the distinction of this one character is highly visible from the other.  Her acting reminds me of Kristen Stewart.  She gives of the same vibe in acting but strangely you will know that Bella(Twilight) is not Snow White(SW & the Hunstman) or Cole(Camp X-Ray).  Not to mention the difference of their real personality off-cam.  It's just amazing to analyze.   I talk too much so I will stop here. 

 

I'm glad that she is getting more recognition.    Good job, Mongji!!!

 

same!!     ...Also, actually I'm late with knowing most of the hits going on in S.Korea LOL, I've watched the first ep of Running Man during 2013, i dont really know about the show's existence during 2010   , I can hear some buzz about how funny and enjoyable Running Man is and Monday Couple around 2011-12 but i dont pay that much attention, until I rewatch some parts of Goong, that time for no reason i dunno if i was just bored or anything but I think Ji Hyo is so pretty so makes me wanna search or look up a bit more about her. I was searching on google and i was wondering why this man named Gary will usually popped up as one of the most related searches when i was searching about Song Ji Hyo LOL    (i dont know Gary by that time but I'm already familiar and heared about that pair named Monday Couple), I tried to search up more also about Monday  Couple and I was like what's with this onscreen pair and why are they so popular that KNetz wouldn't really mind if they end up being together for real. I tried watching an episode of RM, it was so funny so i watched another episode again, i laughed so hard, tried watching another episode and again, it doesnt fail to make me laugh and since then, I  always wanted to see Running Man 

 

 

yea, it's true Song Ji Hyo has a pretty face but she's more than that. Her personality is really the best thing about her  . She got the beauty, personality, talent, brain, what more could you ask for? 

 

hmm Frozen Flower is still an 18+ movie and i'm always taken aback to watch the full movie so  , i'm worried that my impression about Song Ji Hyo will change after watching the movie or i might think of some thoughts in mind that i should think of rather

Don't watch it.    Watch it only when you're ready.  Even I was mind-blown by it...but again, it made me admire her even more.  I feel like she does not belong to Korea if she can do roles like that. It was daring and bold...not the typical cutesey, romantic comedy.  BUT I don't want to see her in any 18+ movies anymore.  Just heavy dramas or anything really well-produced with a good story.  Also Romcom, please~!!  With InSung, Joongki, GongYoo and Dong Wook.  

 

WAH~!    I only started watching the earlier episodes in late 2016  But I'm a loyal fan so I'll stay 'til the end. 

 

EDIT: I hope I find WGM of Jihyo and Chen Bolin... I think I'll watch that next.  A year late.  The only WGM I ever saw was Khuntoria and I cried at the ending...., the other couples did not appeal me much. ._. but maybe I'll see The Adam couple and Joy and Sungjae....  and of course, Jihyo and Bolin.  I'll just prepare myself for the ending....   The goodbyes are always heartbreaking.

 

as i've said, i'm always taken aback to watch the full movie so i'll not watch it anytime soon   . The only WGM I saw was YongSeo, Khuntoria, Adam and TaEun. YongSeo+Khuntoria+Adam trio couple are golden  , I remember not missing any of their episodes and literally cried with their goodbyes and endings  . I didnt watch the WGM couples next to them coz i might get heartbroken. I only give it a try with TaEun coz they're both my biases from their respective groups Lol. 

 

 

I havent watch Ji Hyo's WGM with Bolin yet because it feels like i need to prepare myself with a sad ending again, i dont like seeing sad endings coz it breaks my heart

I liked her outfit here better   But she was so cute, awkward and hot at the same time.  That split part should have not been included in that choreo.   We know how much she hates split. 

I heard, she fell from the stage and got a nose injury after this number in Macau.  I don't know if it's true, though.  I hope she's fine.

 

I don't think I want to see her in adult movies anymore at the moment.   Fifty shades of grey???  No no noooo.....       hahaha!!!  I can't see her in that!  I'll get a heart attack.  But...also.  The reason I liked The Frozen Flower is because  of it's story not the sex scenes.  Well, I liked those scenes also because it was essential to the story and was beautifully executed but everytime they do that, I remember scolding them to stop because I was too worried of what the King would do to them.  I really loved the characters there.  Watching The Frozen Flower was more of the emotions and the story than the visual regardless how beautiful they obviously all are in there and in those scenes.   

 

 Sorry if i can't agree on this.   I'm not really a fan of Fifty Shades but also this is only because everybody has their own preference.  I see so many people like it.  It's just tastes.  I'm just a really boring person and I just don't belong to the many.  I, actually, only liked the first movie because they broke up in the ending and Dakota is so pretty.  But I hate the books, I couldn't stand reading too much of those mature scenes.    It felt empty to me and a little shallow compared to Frozen Flower which has more depth in it that it was almost like they didn't have a choice because of the era, the kingdom, the treason, the environment and love itself.  There were so many underlying meanings in Frozen Flower.

 

Anna must be a little masochist to get drawn to Christian when he is clearly in a "mess" despite all the exterior perfection he has.  If I were her, I won't ever let myself get involved with men who has a bit of mental problems.  It would be too much for me to handle but she is badass if she will be able to change him? I don't know, I really disliked the book so I stopped reading after four pages of 50 Shades Darker but I'm guessing it will be a happy ending and they will be together in the end.

for someone like me who's uncomfortable watching/reading mature scenes, i personally dont like Ji Hyo to do another 18+ scenes again. I'm sorry too for disagreeing with that opinion liking her to do another 18+ movie, that's just my own taste.I just cant agree with that, sorry

 

 

 

 I doubt Korea would accept a 50 Shades remake.  It will be a controversy tbh.

During the accompanying interview, she opened up about being the host of “Song Ji Hyo’s Beauty View,†as well as her thoughts on being an actress.

Known for her candid nature, Song Ji Hyo revealed how she feels burdened as an actress because of society’s perceptions and the expectations placed on those in her profession.

“I cringe when I [have to] act like an actress should, or when people treat me like an actress. The title of ‘actress’ is still cumbersome. I am somebody who wants to become an actor who enjoys and works hard while acting, but I don’t want to become an ‘actress,'†she explained.

I'm sorry I've been away for a long time flop OP   I went hiatus for almost two months, I got really busy i almost have no time to visit OH. I came back since few weeks ago to spazz in my UB group related threads and their comeback got me distracted.

OMG I missed so many stuffs about JiHyo   Running Man tour, Gary's marriage RIP Monday couple , CFs, photoshoots (she always look stunning in all her photoshoots  )..... anything else that I missed? 

 

any news about upcoming dramas/movies?
