She is!!  HAHAHA~!!!  Whenever I watch the intro, I always wonder how she does behind the scenes.  I figured she will be like this. HAHAHA~!  She really hates aegyo but she is one. 

 

I already know Ji Hyo since before when she stared in Goong and Jumong, by that time she was just an average actress for me. Song Hye Kyo was my number 1 most favorite actress before. When i started to watch Running Man, that's how she slowly grows on me.  Ji Hyo is definitely my #1 actress right now, though I haven't watch any of the dramas wherein she's the lead actress. I'm busy so I still dont have much time to watch any   , I've only watched those dramas wherein she's the second lead/supporting actress. The only movie that i have watched if i can remember is where she and Jaejoong are the lead, Code Name: Jackal, but i didnt like the movie sorry.

I also knew her since Goong.  I'm a boring person who doesn't like what's trending so this is why I'm always late for the party.  I also did this in f(x). Ugh!  Goong was super popular in my country before but I was too lazy to watch it.  Also, I don't think(well, I don't know since I never saw the drama) she had enough screen time in there.  I only started watching Yoon Eun Hye in Coffee Prince and I loved her also in Lie To Me.  SO I didn't pay attention to Jihyo yet back then.

 

I watched Running Man only the episodes whenever an f(x) member is the guest and I really haven't laughed out of breath in ANY show than how Running Man made me so I was also super eager to start watching it.   Again, I didn't pay attention to Jihyo.  I'm a fail fan...     But since then, I always wanted to see Running Man.  I'm really busy and it took me another couple of years before I started watching the earlier episodes of RM.  That's where it began.  I think Song Song Couple was what convinced me to start watching.  The episodes were too long so I only started watching clips from YT.  Again, it never failed to make me laugh and make my day. Actually, RM is my therapy.  I really go looking for RM whenever I'm down.  It makes me forget my worries.  

 

Then I started building up favorite members and Jihyo is definitely the winner.  I started looking more of her shows.  There's so much to tell and love about her but one of the things that had me really genuinely love her was when I saw this.

 

 

 

There is another show where they went to the Philippines and it was on a different place.  She went there with Nichkhun and the others.  There are also great places here,  I hope Jihyo just don't see those poor areas next time she comes here.  

ANYWAY!!!  She's not just a pretty face.  She's a real person who has a big heart.  Her beauty and her talent is just the bonus.  What makes me like her is her personality.  Not just her warm heart and kindness but her coolness, her blank face, sometimes air-headed, sometimes genius, her game-on attitude and her sass as well.  I swear she is a complete package.

You mentioned that she was just an average actress back in Goong.  I also thought of her that way.   I saw Jackal(and yep, I also didn't like it) after I saw Frozen Flower.  I'm a scaredy cat so I didn't dare watching her horror movie so her first movie that I saw was The Frozen Flower.      My mind was blown!!!  I never thought my Miss Mong can act so well.  I don't want to spoil so I will not tell my favorite scene but it is really an emotional movie and you will feel for all the characters.  That was Song Joongki's debut movie btw.  I think she really did a great job in it.  I remember Yoo In Ah complementing how Jihyo delivers her lines very well and distinctively in Frozen Flower.  So, I guess, it is an actor standard in Korea that is of a higher level.  

 

I think actors are really great actors when they can make the viewer feel and believe that each of the character they portray is different from the other.  Regardless how similar or different the acting technique used is.  Jihyo is one of those unique actors that are giving of the same acting but the distinction of this one character is highly visible from the other.  Her acting reminds me of Kristen Stewart.  She gives of the same vibe in acting but strangely you will know that Bella(Twilight) is not Snow White(SW & the Hunstman) or Cole(Camp X-Ray).  Not to mention the difference of their real personality off-cam.  It's just amazing to analyze.   I talk too much so I will stop here.

same!!     ...Also, actually I'm late with knowing most of the hits going on in S.Korea LOL, I've watched the first ep of Running Man during 2013, i dont really know about the show's existence during 2010   , I can hear some buzz about how funny and enjoyable Running Man is and Monday Couple around 2011-12 but i dont pay that much attention, until I rewatch some parts of Goong, that time for no reason i dunno if i was just bored or anything but I think Ji Hyo is so pretty so makes me wanna search or look up a bit more about her. I was searching on google and i was wondering why this man named Gary will usually popped up as one of the most related searches when i was searching about Song Ji Hyo LOL    (i dont know Gary by that time but I'm already familiar and heared about that pair named Monday Couple), I tried to search up more also about Monday  Couple and I was like what's with this onscreen pair and why are they so popular that KNetz wouldn't really mind if they end up being together for real. I tried watching an episode of RM, it was so funny so i watched another episode again, i laughed so hard, tried watching another episode and again, it doesnt fail to make me laugh and since then, I  always wanted to see Running Man 

 

 

yea, it's true Song Ji Hyo has a pretty face but she's more than that. Her personality is really the best thing about her  . She got the beauty, personality, talent, brain, what more could you ask for? 

 

hmm Frozen Flower is still an 18+ movie and i'm always taken aback to watch the full movie so  , i'm worried that my impression about Song Ji Hyo will change after watching the movie or i might think of some thoughts in mind that i should think of rather 

Don't watch it.    Watch it only when you're ready.  Even I was mind-blown by it...but again, it made me admire her even more.  I feel like she does not belong to Korea if she can do roles like that. It was daring and bold...not the typical cutesey, romantic comedy.  BUT I don't want to see her in any 18+ movies anymore.  Just heavy dramas or anything really well-produced with a good story.  Also Romcom, please~!!  With InSung, Joongki, GongYoo and Dong Wook.  

 

WAH~!    I only started watching the earlier episodes in late 2016  But I'm a loyal fan so I'll stay 'til the end. 

 

EDIT: I hope I find WGM of Jihyo and Chen Bolin... I think I'll watch that next.  A year late.  The only WGM I ever saw was Khuntoria and I cried at the ending...., the other couples did not appeal me much. ._. but maybe I'll see The Adam couple and Joy and Sungjae....  and of course, Jihyo and Bolin.  I'll just prepare myself for the ending....   The goodbyes are always heartbreaking.

I liked her outfit here better   But she was so cute, awkward and hot at the same time.  That split part should have not been included in that choreo.   We know how much she hates split. 

I heard, she fell from the stage and got a nose injury after this number in Macau.  I don't know if it's true, though.  I hope she's fine.

 

I would loove to see her in more adult movies like Frozen Flower , loved the movie she was smooking hot in it, elegant, mysterious. I also totally agree, she is the kind of actress you don't see often in korea, she is not afraid of sexy roles or intimate scenes, and the chemistry she has with her partners is always burning hot. I want to see her in a movie like fifty shades, she would fit perfectly as the female lead actress in it

I don't think I want to see her in adult movies anymore at the moment.   Fifty shades of grey???  No no noooo.....       hahaha!!!  I can't see her in that!  I'll get a heart attack.  But...also.  The reason I liked The Frozen Flower is because  of it's story not the sex scenes.  Well, I liked those scenes also because it was essential to the story and was beautifully executed but everytime they do that, I remember scolding them to stop because I was too worried of what the King would do to them.  I really loved the characters there.  Watching The Frozen Flower was more of the emotions and the story than the visual regardless how beautiful they obviously all are in there and in those scenes.   

 

 Sorry if i can't agree on this.   I'm not really a fan of Fifty Shades but also this is only because everybody has their own preference.  I see so many people like it.  It's just tastes.  I'm just a really boring person and I just don't belong to the many.  I, actually, only liked the first movie because they broke up in the ending and Dakota is so pretty.  But I hate the books, I couldn't stand reading too much of those mature scenes.    It felt empty to me and a little shallow compared to Frozen Flower which has more depth in it that it was almost like they didn't have a choice because of the era, the kingdom, the treason, the environment and love itself.  There were so many underlying meanings in Frozen Flower.

 

Anna must be a little masochist to get drawn to Christian when he is clearly in a "mess" despite all the exterior perfection he has.  If I were her, I won't ever let myself get involved with men who has a bit of mental problems.  It would be too much for me to handle but she is badass if she will be able to change him? I don't know, I really disliked the book so I stopped reading after four pages of 50 Shades Darker but I'm guessing it will be a happy ending and they will be together in the end.

While I was watching Fifty Shades darker I was thinking Song Ji Hyo would be the perfect actress for a remake,she would totally nail it, she has killer visuals, charming, flirtatious and knows how to be alluring, just the perfect femme fatale right there for the role!

 I doubt Korea would accept a 50 Shades remake.  It will be a controversy tbh.

Beauty and lifestyle magazine Allure Korea recently revealed some gorgeous cuts of Song Ji Hyo, who will be featured in their March issue.

Dressed in simple, one-toned dresses, Song Ji Hyo effortlessly exudes charisma as she poses against a pink background perfect for spring.

During the accompanying interview, she opened up about being the host of “Song Ji Hyo’s Beauty View,†as well as her thoughts on being an actress.

Known for her candid nature, Song Ji Hyo revealed how she feels burdened as an actress because of society’s perceptions and the expectations placed on those in her profession.

“I cringe when I [have to] act like an actress should, or when people treat me like an actress. The title of ‘actress’ is still cumbersome. I am somebody who wants to become an actor who enjoys and works hard while acting, but I don’t want to become an ‘actress,'†she explained.

As for future productions following her recent run on “My Wife Is Having an Affair This Week,†Song Ji Hyo commented, “There aren’t always opportunities readily available that match me well like perfectly fitted-clothing. Right now, I’m preparing to find that ‘piece of clothing.'â€

Just finished watching Chen Bolin x Song Ji Hyo WGM....

 

At first I was like...   They were really awkward.  It felt a little forced as if she was 'acting' her way out for work.  

But then, at the last two episodes, when they were told marriage would end.   That's when they started to become more open to each other.  WGM ending scenes are always so painful to watch.  Why do they play on people's hearts that way, really?  It ended too soon.  

Bolin, though, was a certified gentleman and he was always trying his best to adjust for her.

You should watch Song Ji Hyo's latest drama My Wife's having and affair this Week it's really amaaazing, with alot of depth, it's soo exciting all way through and will keep you on the edge of your seat from start till finish, one of the best k-dramas ever!

 

Meanwhile I need to catch up with the lastest episode of Song Ji Hyo's beauty view

I did.  I usually finish a whole series before I watch it but "My Wife Is Having An Affair This Week" was an exception.  Every time they release an episode I'd be anxious with the next episode.  Nothing made me felt that way since Secret Garden and Coffee Prince like that was more than five years ago.  Nothing compares to those.  It is easily one of my favorite dramas.  Very unique and realistic as well.  Plus, Jihyo looked perfectly gorgeous there.  Loved all of her outfits and her make-up.

 

The only dramas I haven't seen of Jihyo's are the historical themed ones.

 

 You should catch up to Beauty View.  It is quite interesting.  The guests are professional make-up artists and we know how godly Korean celebrity make-up artists' hands are.  And Jihyo is always so cute there.  I just don't like the intro segment that much, but it is just as funny.  Especially, when they release the behind-the-scenes.      We all know Jihyo don't like to act cute very much.

Let's be talkative and spazz all the time~ 

I heard Beauty View is doing great.  They said the ratings are good.  I'm not sure tho, I don't really know how to check.  But I'm very glad if it is because I enjoy watching it.  It's entertaining, it has it's own color and educational.  Except from the intro clip, I really love everything about it.  Especially, our Mong host.

as i've said, i'm always taken aback to watch the full movie so i'll not watch it anytime soon   . The only WGM I saw was YongSeo, Khuntoria, Adam and TaEun. YongSeo+Khuntoria+Adam trio couple are golden  , I remember not missing any of their episodes and literally cried with their goodbyes and endings  . I didnt watch the WGM couples next to them coz i might get heartbroken. I only give it a try with TaEun coz they're both my biases from their respective groups Lol. 

 

 

I havent watch Ji Hyo's WGM with Bolin yet because it feels like i need to prepare myself with a sad ending again, i dont like seeing sad endings coz it breaks my heart

Welcome back!   I have recovered well in Bobo x Momo WGM.  It's probably because it was cut too short.  Khuntoria was toooooo heartbreaking for me because they had so much chemistry, had it for a long-run and that time towards the ending when they were really starting to become closer, they broke them apart.   It broke my heart.  Khuntoria took a while before they became informal towards each other.  But Bobo and Momo only had 12 episodes.

 

I really felt Jihyo's regret on the latter episodes since I noticed she only opened up because she knew she would lose him.  I guess, Chinese-Korean does not work well due to cultural differences? ._. Relationships like that needs time to develop well.  I noticed how more daring Taiwanese are.  Not all tho.  Bolin was super gentleman and sweet.  But the reporters are, usually, rude in asking questions.  I was really pissed at Bolin's friends when Jihyo went to his apartment.  They made him try to do stuffs that are too straight-forward for the couple.  It was meant to be funny or romantic, but I saw the pressure in Bolin and Jihyo was awkward.  It was a disaster since Jihyo seemed to lost it in the end.  She went blank and she was not responding.  Idk.  I just didn't like how they approached her there. There's the difference in their culture.  Jihyo is a very conservative lady and they should have acted matured enough to respect that.  

 

In the end.  I conclude, that Bobo and Momo will be good friends.  Jihyo treasures her friends, I think they still contact each other from time to time.  But really, just friends.

 

I love Taemin!  I used to ship him to my maknae, Krystal but she turned out dating his bestfriend.  There goes my shipwreck again but ofc I'm happy for her.  He's also my bias in Shinee.  I love f(Shinee)...sad thing, I really can't follow the other groups anymore so I don't really know them but I love OSTs.  I could only give time to f(x) .  I like AKMU and Mamamoo...  I'm sure there are others but I'm no longer aware.  I also am very addicted to Vodka Rain which is a treasure I found in Ex-Girlfriend Club OST.   

 

Gong Myung(Jihyo's co-host in Beauty View) will work with Krystal in a TVN Drama.  I hope she guests in Beauty View.  My delulu is already working....   I dream to see f(mongji) in one show.  RM is continuing so I still have hope.

 

 

Yep.  Right now.  In Jihyo's level of being an actress, she does not need to show anymore skin to be sexy.  Unlike in the west or other countries, if Jihyo acts in another raunchy movie, she will get lots of hate for it.  In Hollywood, you can do that.  But in Korea, or some Asian countries, it's hard to swallow seeing them in those scenes.  Korea simply is not ready for that.  Even I would not want to see Jihyo doing another Frozen Flower.  No matter how much I loved that movie.  It took her years to clear up her image from that despite how successful it was.  Thanks to RM people saw her on a different light.

 

I have a really random question.  Am I the only one who sees that Dakota and Jihyo have the same personality?  Not that much because Americans are more bold.  But they have the same aura.  They are both very beautiful and they share the same personalities.  I love Dakota but I don't want to see 50 Shades Darker yet.  I not yet ready... so I watch her interviews.  As weird as I can be, I enjoy watching interviews of my favorite actors.  Dakota is really someone that is unique, funny, cute, witty and blank at the same time.  I really see her as American version Jihyo.  She is also a bit of a girly tomboy.  Oh please ignore this.  I'm sayign nonsense. LMAO

Aww..  I can't believe it is already the final episode....    I enjoyed it too much, I thought it would go for more than 10 episodes.  I will miss the show.  Waiting for season two.  Thank God it's already confirmed.

See it fro a different perspektive, when it ends she will likely do a drama next, and that means our wait would finally be over and we would be able to see her acting in a new drama soon. having to film to show every week like now, would probably make it almost impossible to do a drama at the same time, as much as i love the beauty show, i still love seeing her in dramas more, so i for one am glad that there will be a season two, but hope she afterwards does a new drama

Yes.  That's what I was thinking deep inside as well. 

 

I heard SBS is considering to put RM in 11pm Weekdays timeslot.  Are they trying to murder the members?  I think it is a bad idea.  I hope SBS would just revamp the show into something that is more enjoyable to watch.  Doesn't have to be too physical.  Now I'm thinking that RM being uncancelled was just because they couldn't find or doesn't have anything to replace it.

RM is probably going to end within a years time, and honestly despite loving RM, I prefer to see Song Ji Hyo focus on her acting career, and do more dramas every year, she is such a gorgeous and talented actress being on a show where she dedicated 1-2 days everyweek and get's soo little screentime (especially when thy invite so many guests) is a waste of her Amazing visuals and acting and modeling talent

But I'd rather they would end RM without all the drama that it had in the past months.  I mean, if they would end it, end it properly while all the members agreeing to end it in good terms.  It's easier to let it go that way than with a heavy heart.  I know we love to see Jihyo in dramas but the way she talks, it seems she enjoys more being on variety shows rather than being an actress.  I think, no matter what I would want her to get what she wants and what makes her happy.  

 

Although, I really still can't think of ANY reason why they aren't casting her into something as big as DOTS or Goblin?  It's easy.  Pair her up with the top male stars, then the fame would soar without even promoting it.  It happened in Emergency Couple.  It wasn't really that great of a drama, I didn't like the plot so much but it still was accepted by many.  Having the best plot with the best and famous people, it is going to be a sure success.  I don't worry on her acting skills because I know she can deliver.  I just hope she gets a good plot, a great director and the best production team.

 

She is also a very private person.  I can already imagine how she would just go inside her cave and not show up until her next projects which might take sometimes a month or two.  I can't have that.  I wouldn't want that.  She doesn't even have IG or Twitter.  She has Weibo but it doesn't seem like she is the one updating it and I can't understand a thing.  

 

Hence, in RM, I see her every week, hear her talk, watch her laugh and have fun most of the time being a family with the other members.  That's why I don't want RM to end.  I can't not have my weekly dose of Jihyo in RM.  It's going to be incomplete tbh.

I think my oppinion differs greatly from yours on this matter, Song Ji Hyo's drama Emergency Couple is an alltime favourite drama of mine, it just had everything, intense romance, intense chemistry between the leads, a very interesting plot, and smooking hot llead actors. I was and still am addicted to this drama more then any other drama, and therefor rewatch it on regurlar basis. As for Song JI HYo I think she enjoys acting more then being part of variety shows, especially in recent years. but I think she is also not the kind to just take any project on that doesn't interest her,  remember in her most recent interview, she said she is searching for a close that fits her perfectly, meaning she is searching for a projekt/role that catches her interest

That's okay.  All good.  We do always differ in our tastes, don't we?  I just noticed.  Emergency is just not my cup of tea.  There are great stuffs there too.  I loved the bed scene.  I think that was the most adorable love scene I've ever seen.    Another thing, I liked the second lead more than the male lead.   Sorry, Changmin..  I liked Chief better. 

I liked their off-cam chemistry in the set.  The pretty doctor is also a close friend of Jihyo's irl.

 

 

I think I liked Ex-Girlfriend's Club more than Emergency Couple, despite all the cliches and cringey parts.  There were really great scenes there and script was beautiful.  My fav of course is My Wife is An Affair This Week.

It looks like a wig.  She looks cute, though.  I don't know.  I think she wouldn't cut it unless it's really for the movie.  In Beauty View she was all worried when a bit of hair was cut from the model, I thought she wouldn't want that for her hair.

Actors Lee Sung Min, Shin Ha Kyun, Song Ji Hyo, and Lee El will be starring in a comedy film together.

According to sources on March 3, the movie they’ll be starring in is called “Wind Wind Wind†(working title) and it will start filming on March 13.

This film is set in Jeju Island, where the wind is known to be very strong, and it will deal with two men and two women finding true love.

Actor Lee Sung Min will be playing Jeju Island’s casanova Seok Geun and actor Shin Ha Kyun will be playing a quiet husband named Bong Soo, whose dream was to become a successful chef. In the film, these actors will be brother-in-laws and show great chemistry together.

Actress Song Ji Hyo will be playing Bong Soo’s energetic wife and Seok Geun’s younger sister. Lee El will be playing Bong Soo’s love interest, Jenny.

It looks like she bought pizza for the set.  Domino's pizza, Joongki and Bogum are the models.  Her make-up artist posted and tagged a lot of names LOL.  I love it that Jihyo is surrounded with nice and bubbly people.  I love her make-up artist and hair stylist.

Song Ji Hyo is set to get an “ahjumma perm†in the upcoming episode of SBS’s “Running Man.â€

On this day, the actress is tasked with visiting a local hairdresser for a mission, and she surprises everyone by coming back out looking nothing like she did when she went in.

She ends up leaving the hairdressers with a full head of hair done up in strong, tight curls in the signature “ahjumma perm.†What’s funnier is that she doesn’t have enough time to take out all the perm rods, resulting in her running through the streets with perm rods stuck in random places in her hair.

Despite this, it was later said that the staff couldn’t help but be awed by the fact that Song Ji Hyo’s messy hair did nothing to detract from her shining beauty.

The reason why Song Ji Hyo had no choice but to get an “ahjumma perm†will be revealed on “Running Man,†which will air on March 5 at 6:25 p.m. KST.

Actor Park Bo Gum will be making an appearance in the next episode of “Running Manâ€!

 

On March 7, a source from SBS confirmed reports that Park Bo Gum took part in recording “Running Man†on March 6. The source explained that during the filming, cast members were paired up to complete missions that involved contacting their acquaintances for help. Park Bo Gum will be briefly appearing in the episode as he helps the team of Lee Kwang Soo and Song Ji Hyo with their mission.

 

The episode is due to air on March 12. This will be Park Bo Gum’s first appearance on the show in about a year, since he helped Song Ji Hyo complete a mission (and live her fangirl dreams) last April.

 

It was also recently reported that Lee Kwang Soo’s friend Park Jung Min will be appearing in the next episode.

This weekend’s episode of SBS’s “Running Man†will have another special guest making an appearance to help the show members with their missions.

A source stated that, in the March 12 episode of the show, Song Ji Hyo reaches out to her younger brother to help her complete her mission.

Lee Kwang Soo, who is Song Ji Hyo’s “business younger brother†on the show, asks her real younger brother to reveal something about Song Ji Hyo. Rather than protect his sister’s image, Song Ji Hyo’s brother plainly reveals secrets about her personal life, which stuns Song Ji Hyo.

His sudden confession creates a bond of mutual understanding and sympathy between Lee Kwang Soo and Song Ji Hyo’s younger brother.

Plus, Song Ji Hyo utilizes her network of friends and calls actor Lee Dong Wook, who she has been good friends with for a long time, to help her with another mission.

Meanwhile, it was confirmed earlier this week that actor Park Bo Gum will be making an appearance on the March 12 episode of “Running Man†as well.

This episode of SBS’s “Running Man†airs on Sunday, March 12 at 6:25 p.m. KST.
