Shouldn't Red Velvet's albums have been released like SHINee's Misconceptions albums?

Like release The Red one month, and The Velvet a few months later, then repackage them together... I feel like it would've been more effective and impactful, and their presence at the year-end shows would have been a lot stronger. I think it was a missed opportunity.

 

Of course, The Velvet is not even confirmed to be their next album (or is it? I don't follow too closely) but it's a great possibility.

It would have made more sense tbh. I don't possibly see how the The Velvet could be a full album. It will be a mini. Bookmark me.

or it could be like infinite where you have your first full album and then years later you got another one as your "season 2." the beginning of a new chapter their life? that can work out, i think...

RV themselves confirmed even in The Red era that they'r preparing for The Velvet album, but when will it be released was in disscussion. I think it will be a LP, just dunno SM will let it out this time or for further comeback.

as for Shinee's Misconception series, i think RV isn't strong enough to put out multiple release like that, also it would be hella stressful for Yeri who still have to finish highschool

idk,  I mean 2 full length albums for what were essentially rookies at the time? It seems like a bit much

I doubt they are ever going to do that again considered misconceptions of me did not do nowhere as well as the first one even though it was a better album and Shinee were a six year old group at that point whereas Red Velvet was hardly a one year old group when The Red was released

i feel like mom not doing as well as moy has a lot to do with jonghyun not being there and other issues that were going on the fandom at that time, and less to do with the way the albums were released.
