Why did Avex sacrifice E-girls for Big Bang?

So Big Bang released their new album 2 weeks ago. It sold 128,230 copies in its first week. They were basically robbing an empty house since the #2 album last week sold 36,436. Last week was a big week for releases. BUMP OF CHICKEN, E-girls, MAN WITH A MISSION, ZARD, and Shibutani Subaru released albums. This week, BUMP OF CHICKEN is #1 with 197,160, E-girls is #2 with 174,570, and MAN WITH A MISSION is #3 with 99,815. But if E-girls had released the week before, they would've easily had the #1 album. So why did Avex choose to sacrifice E-girls for Big Bang? It reminds me of how they have Ayu release weeks where she won't get #1 while they have Kuu release weeks where she will. But it doesn't matter in that case since they end up selling the same amount anyway. Does Big Bang need the buzz of being #1 more than E-girls, even though they sold less?

Maybe they expected E-girls to sell more or BUMP OF CHICKEN (They sound like a grindcore band, who tf came up with that name) to sell less. Like no one cares if a Kpop group robs an empty house but it's slightly more embarassing if it's female Exile.

The name is supposed to mean  "cowards strike back." And they're definitely not grindcore.

BIG BANG's sales in Japan are extremely front loaded (thanks also to the bazillion versions each album gets). It's all about the first week for them and getting coverage for the #1 spot.

E-girls doesn't need any of that. Even the first album sold constantly for weeks. The #1 is just a bonus.

PS. BIG BANG's and Kuu's sales are not only front loaded, but also driven by special/fanclub versions sold only at avex's shops. So getting their respective fanbases to buy the album in the first week (and hopefully reach the #1) is essential for them.

Yea kinda annoying when u think about it. Maybe YG paid Avex lol I also hate how happiness singles are always promoted less bc egirls and happiness releases happen at the same time & its either we buy happiness or egirls cuz those damn things are expensive as hell. But watever the case my gurls still slay at #2!
