Scuttlebutters 747 Posted February 13, 2016 Share Posted February 13, 2016 I used to really love AKB48 back in the days of Iiwake Maybe and Heavy Rotation (I think these songs were around 2011? Or was it later, I don't remember.), but since then all of my favs have graduated and I find it hard to get back into them?? They seem like such a fun group, I love some of their more recent singles, and I really wanna try and get back into them, but I'm not sure where to start when it comes to getting to know all the members again! Does anyone know anything to help me omg there's so many members where do I even start?? What variety shows are they on currently, where can I watch them (subbed preferably),... Guest Posted February 13, 2016 Share Posted February 13, 2016 Even though Majisuka Gakuen dramas (latest seasons) are not so praised but it's probably the best way to have a good idea on who is important in AKB right now. So I recommend Majisuka Gakuen 4 and Majisuka Gakuen 5, both seasons are from 2015. And you can watch them even if you didn't see previous seasons (it's not so related). The dramas aren't amazing though so don't judge the girls from that XD But you will get to see the current important members and you can learn their names later. The other thing you can do is see the latest singles of AKB (2014-2015-2016) and watch the Pv's of the a-sides and b-sides. The latest AKB single is Kimi wa Melody, there isn't a Pv yet but there is the Short Pv here: This is a special single where they bring back some graduates! That's why there is Acchan, Yuko, Mariko, Tomochin, and Takamina (who is not graduated yet but she's about to graduate). I started out loving Maeda Atsuko, mainly because she was always in center and she was the first one who's face I had memorized. If you still like them you should definitely check out their acting projects (if you enjoy dramas/movies) I can tell you more about it if you're interested just send me a pm LOL. I don't really think anyone in AKB right now is like Acchan or Yuko so I can't recommend you someone from the current members but I think there are some nice members even nowadays...
