dux 3,142
I tried that and it still doesn't play both (only the gif) i notice youre not in timeline mode? its the three bar button just left of "forever"what id do is make my gif in a seperate document, making sure its circular, then making that gif a smart object by first converting the frame animation into a timeline then converting the layers to smart filters. then in the document with the about me picture, id make that pic a smart object too the same way. last copy the gif layer into the document of the still image. you should have two layers and it should be in timeline. then you can easily adjust move or resize the circular gif to your liking. then make sure to line up the length of the pic to the length of the gif (in the timeline bar) and you should be golden if that didnt make sense or you have questions or need help you can always PM me, id gladly give a tutorial :3 Edited July 5, 2017 by Esteban Julio Ricardo

dux 3,142
How do you make gifs like this It's so good quality and the colors are so nice. Every time I save mine, the colors fade and it just doesn't look good start from a high quality vid is the most importanr partthen its all in the psd those gifs look warm so im guessing maybe an orangey color filter and some levels, maybe a contrast and play with tge selective colors how do you make your gifs that arent coming out nice? are you using photoshop? this is so high quality i've seen the light today YAAS SIS u did that! dux 3,142
Thanks! I'll try that out and yep I'm using photoshop, the gif seems to lose some colour when I save it maybe its in your saving settings if you see everything fine until the saving screen, do you hve it on 256 colours? dux 3,142
yeah its 256, the color is lighter when i save it as a gif but i dont seem to have a problem when i save pictures maybe its in the other settngs, like i know if ur saving and choose McIntosh the colours look weird. do you have an example gif? dux 3,142
I'll take a screenshot to compare so it's easier to explain This is when I save as a picture And this is the gif version the color on the gif version is a bit lighter especially the eyes and lips ,oh that looks like its just part of the quality loss that comes with making a gif. with only 256 colours, its not possible to make a gif look exactly like the og video did. try making the gif smaller and maybe sharpening it for quality, and if its on diffusion put dither at 100 if you havent does that make a changeÉ
dux 3,142
ahhh i see, that is probably why it was already on that setting for dither~ for sharpening, it is possible to sharpen all layers at once? yup 1 convert to timeline (this is in the animation panel) 2 select all layers 3 go up to the "filters" drop down and click "convert for smart filters" 4 go back to filters and click on sharpen 5 optional: if you want a specific sharpness go to smart sharpen and play around 6 look at thst crisp beauty
dux 3,142
i just tried that but when i click "convert for smart filters" the frames in the timeline all change to the picture in the first layer awww hell nah, when you click play in the animation timeline does the gif still move? u sure its in timeline mode and not frame animation? (if its in frame animation youll still be able to see the imahe of each frame in the panel, in timeline it looks like a video and you dont see the individual frames) Edited July 10, 2017 by Esteban Julio Ricardo
dux 3,142
nope because the frames are the same xD wait is timeline mode and frame animation different? I'm not sure how to get timeline mode if i don't have it alreadyyup theyre differemt! here i found a gif sharpening tut that explains better: http://itsphotoshop.com/post/30880866031/how-to-sharpen-all-the-layers-of-a-gif-at-once remember to convert to timeline before making the layers a smart onject, if you do it the other way round the gif doesnt move~

dux 3,142
i wanted to pm you but your inbox is full sorry if i'm bothering you i downloaded some .ts video files from kpopexciting and i tried to open them in photoshop but i couldn't. am i supposed to convert those files to be able to import? if so, how do i do that? no worries fam let me clear my invoxi actually dont even use phitishops video extractor thingy (mines glitched), i just use the kmplayer to extract frames. its also easier imo to get the right parts to make a set out of
dux 3,142
do you put the frames together in photoshop? how do you do that? i kinda do it in a roundabout way cuz my ps is crackt beyond repair open the vid in kmplayer get to the part of the vid u want to start giffing and pause right before it right click>capture>frame extract then this pops up, click start, then play the vid until the part u want giffed is done, then click stop (all the frames end up in the folder 'capture' by default btw, but you can change where you want em to go) then on PS and then if it isnt already set properly u might have to "make frames from layers" in the animation bar and then it should be like a normal gif from there i hope that made some sense lol there was also another way (it didnt work for me but it might for u) but i cant find the tutorial rn Edited August 29, 2017 by FAT ALBERT
