Kinda weird how Risa Ariyoshi of Produce 101 seems more Japanese then the J-Trinity

If you didn't tell me that she's japanese, I could think that she's korean lol. I don't really think there's a specific "japanese" look? But maybe it's because J-Trinity members have their make-up and styling done like how koreans usually do, the eyebrows and all. and they fixed their teeth. Before debut they looked more like the usual japanese girls with their make-up and styling. But since they're idols in Korea it's expected they changed the styling~ Sometimes it's more obvious that they're japanese and not korean (especially when they wear less make-up). For the language it's probably because J-Trinity have been in Korea longer (:

Risa's makeup is the same sort you'd see on the likes of Japanese idols/models. Reminds me so much of Paruru's trendy hangover makeup. actually nvm it doesn't. But the light makeup that's doll-ish is very reminiscent of what you'd see in Japanese shoots. Her pictures do specifically remind me of Yagi Arisa and Her photoshoots tho.

Twice J-trinity have very Korean sort of makeup done on the other hand.

I agree. The J-Trinity have their makeup/outfits/overall style made to look overall Korean since they are in a Korean girl group. Risa, on the other hand, is new to Korea and isn't styled like a Korean celebrity. Also, in some of the J-Trinity's pre debut photos, they look more Japanese then they would Korean.

How do you seem more Japanese?.. I don't get it, but Risa was raised in Japan since birth while Twice's J-Trinity have been living and being trained in Korea for quite a while.

Momo and Sana were raised in Japan since birth, too. They were both born in Osaka and didn't come to Korea until 3-4 years ago. Heck, in Sana's old tweets, she posted during her middle school days that she really wanted to go to Korea, meaning she was still living in Japan at the time. And Mina was raised in the U.S. but then moved to Japan when she was young.
