Pann: Is there a road shop that you don't like?

(road shops = drugstore cosmetic brands)

1. [+198, -24] Etude is good cosmetics. Their ingredients are all approved by Amore Pacific. The reason why the CEO of Amore Pacific made Etude is because he wanted to give a cute and lovely makeup brand to his little daughter as a gift. Hera and Sulhwasoo are also made by Amore Pacific. It's a pity that Etude has a negative image because of the package designs.

2. [+143, -8] Nature Republic ã…‹ã…‹ I never use any of their product

3. [+136, -22] Etude. Especially their skin products ruin my skin.

4. [+71, -2] Skin Food. In the past, they promoted their brand with "We don't do discounts because our prices don't have bubbles." But now they're doing discounts, what the hell.

5. [+53, -5] I don't know about others but Innisfree's name sounds likeable. The name sounds natural, green, and fresh. The ads are also refreshing.

6. [+39, -2] The Face Shop... I don't know why but I don't like them.

7. [+34, -0] Tony Moly. It feels like cheap stuff.

8. [+33, -0] Everybody hates Etude. I like Etude because I love princess vibes...

9. [+30, -0] Serial discounter Nature Republic

10. [+29, -6] Innisfree cosplays as environmentally friendly when their ingredients are garbage ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

the packaging is cute, tho... but the quality of the products isn't really good, espcially the skin care products, meeh..

But how are green tea, soybean, seaweed, and other natural ingredients "garbage"?

Because there is nothing "natural" about their product. At best they are just like every other brands out there. A bunch of silicones, synthetic emulsifiers and adjuster, with minimal amount of extract and almost no substantial amount of active. Their ingredients are as garbage as the stuff they put down.

Im not saying they are bad, but they never deliver what they claimed, which is "natural". And wtf is "natural" anyway?

I think it means no artificially-made ingredients or something?

I like their skincare products, though. They feel good on my skin and have given me decent results.

Natural has no meaning in cosmetic labelling. Any brand can claim themselves to be "natural". There is no guideline, and no real legal barrier to claim that on the product.

I'm not saying Innisfree is bad, but it's not "natural". It is just like every other cosmetic brand out there. But people have the misconception that non-natural labelled brand are made by "chemical-filled" ingredients or garbage. And ironically a natural line like Innisfree is made up of the same "garbage" ingredients as all the others non-natural line. Just saying/

For cosmetics I just use western brands but for skincare it's impossible.. they mess my skin up really badly (aside from Sukin it's alright but it doesn't really do much for me either) :/
So I got some stuff from the stores in the city like The Face Shop etc and my skin has been great ever since.
I don't mind the criticism that I'm using Korean branded things, after all my foundation comes from the UK, my eyeliner/mascara comes from the US. I think it's ironic that people make such a big deal out of it. Different things work for different people.

Tony Moly. I use their luminous aura cc cream and my skin became gray and dry. No.

Etude House is below average, I'm sure people mostly buy for the cute packaging.
