Apple might kill the two most annoying things about the iPhone's design

Say goodbye to the bulge.

If the rumors are true, this year's iPhone 7 should look dramatically different from the existing iPhone 6 and 6s.

There have already been multiple reports that Apple plans to remove the headphone jack in the next iPhone, and a new rumor suggests that other major physical changes are coming.

MacRumors reported on Tuesday that the iPhone 7 won't have rear antenna lines or a rear camera bulge. Citing "a source who has provided reliable information in the past," the site said that a thicker camera module will allow for Apple to remove the infamous bulge that keeps the iPhone from laying flush on a flat surface.iphone6s-4color-redfish-pr-print_skitch.

Antenna lines will still be used around the sides of the iPhone 7, but they won't appear along the back of the phone, according to the report. Apple has never revealed exactly why the lines exist, but they are believed to help improve the iPhone's signal. Apple has presumably found a way to maintain signal quality and not have the lines be visible on the back of the device.

The larger iPhone 7 Plus is also expected to have an upgraded dual-lens rear camera. Apple is rumored to be holding a media event for the smaller, cheaper "iPhone 5se" in March, but the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus will likely not be unveiled until at least September.

Better off with a Samsung bro! :hurr:

Yeah, to me the most annoying thing about the iPhone's design is the inability to manage files and copy them directly from my computer without using iTunes.  Since Apple isn't likely to "fix" that, claiming it is a feature, I'll stick with my Note 4 until it implodes. :)

For a moment I was thinking, "so what you're saying is I should never get an iPhone," but then I read in the article that they'll be supporting Lightning-equipped headphones, which is a nice idea. So I'm on board, I guess.

Now you have a headphone that only works on the new Iphone and it might even be more expensive then regular headphones if you need it replaced. Apple's laughing all the way to the bank. Also, I can't wait for the next Google phone. They are apparently going to make their next nexus in-house which is awesome.

Eh, if they pack it in with the phone itself, I'd forgive them.

I already have headphones for my computer that don't work with anything other than my PS Vita and 3DS (the jack is too huge for my iPod) so I'm used to using different headphones for different devices, anyway.

I'm good with my iPhone 4 that I've had since it came out  :) I'll buy a new one when it breaks. But this shit is unbreakable. I drop my phone more than twice every week on the hard floor and not a single scratch. I've dropped it into the snow many times as well. Wtf.

It's just a phone why do people like to fight with this apple vs android BS. I had both I personally prefer iPhones. If you want to do special customization an other things androids are for you but I've been an avid iPhone user since 4 and I'll keep it that way, but I am not that annoyed by the jack or camera tbh.

I prefer iTunes. I can download music and keep it neat. Without searching for Tracks and I don't have to do it legally and with iTunes I can have it on all my devices .. sync to everything I own without worry. I like having all my devices linked with one thing. What you like about Droid is what I dislike... I mean yeah its nice to download to the phone but sometimes the files are all over the place and Idk what song is what unless the uploader uploaded it that way.... with iTunes everything is neat and categorized by artist and what not but that's jut my organized self I guess lol

But I get the extra step is annoying for some... I don't mind it since I can use iTunes Music too and I can download straight to my phone for a single yeah it cost but If I am buying just the it makes sense...

Congrats. In my country, iPhones are expensive as fuck.

Not really. If you plan on paying market price yes, but no one usually does except people that can afford it. I've never payed full price for and iPhone .... Why do non iPhone users use that debate? Also, depending  on the Android or Samsung you get at MARKET price isn't that much cheaper, but NO ONE expect people who can afford it pay market price. Most people go fir the 0 Down 2 year contract and pay 80 a month for unlimited everything... So I mean..
