1.PM stands for Post Meridiem, which is Latin for after midday. 

2.  Silent letters isn't only an English thing.

3. We don't skip the E here in Australia.  It goes A, B, C, D and E here.

for your first point, yes its true, but it can still start with 1 instead of 12, you know?

i think the only bad way to write... would be with the year in the middle. any of the other ways make fine sense to me

My spanish teacher always say it's so easy to make mistakes in English and that there are things that don't make sense like how different letters are pronounced in words, but they have no accents. That's why I'm glad I'm more proficient in English than in Spanish even though it was my 1st language lol

When I was learning to drive my dad was like turn here, so I was like "turn left?" and he said "right" so I turned right, than my dad freaked out and said he meant right as in correct, not the direction :(

I remember thinking we really need to fix the English language.

Where is it written as that? I thought all English-speaking countries wrote it as day/month/year.

 In the U.S. we write it as month/day/year.
