Kimura has found a way to retain the substance and quintessence of Funky Town, Take On Me, and Sunday Morning while further developing and changing them to suit her style and aesthetic. Kimura being accompanied by Okamura Yasuyuki, Ishino Takkyu, and Haruomi Hasuno is going to further elevate and take these records into a much more contemporary space. Funky Town and Take On Me are shaping up to be stand outs on Rock. Looking forward to hearing her take on Two of Heart, Girls Just Want to Have Fun, and Fight For Your Right To Party the most because of their respective features. MoreTokyo 1,008 Posted October 25, 2013 Share Posted October 25, 2013 @DocumentaLy Kaela Kimura surrounding herself with Chara, N'夙å·Boys, Chatmonchy, Cansei De Ser Sexy, Predawn, Quruli, Pop etc, Okamura Yasuyuki, Ishino Takkyu, Kazuyoshi Saito, Haruomi Hosono, and Tamio Okuda is going to make Rock a much more unique and enjoyable experience in comparison to Beni, Ms. OOJA, May J, and Juju. Kimura collaborating with Chara, Okamura, Ishino, Okuda, and Saito should speak to an older audience while Predawn, N'夙å·Boys, Chatmoncy, and Cansei De Ser Sexy will tap into a much more contemporary audience. Kaela Kimura has uploaded footage from her session with each of her collaborators on her site for Rock. Chara and Kimura working on Two of Hearts together is going to be sick!
