Which group(s) had the worst influence on kpop?

I would have to say SISTAR, they influenced all those redundant sexy concepts, and BIGBANG/Block B/BAP for influencing all the hardcore/urban boy groups. We need more girl groups like f(x) and Twice, and boy groups like INFINITE and ZE:A.

I really like Sistar though.

I was gonna say PSY bc although he has his own niche style, seems like a nice guys etc, he's really the only person non kpop fans will think of when seeing kpop.

They'll be like "Oh! Like Psy right?".

His success overseas also overshadows otherwise more prominent kpop acts. People would swear "Daddy" is the most popular song in Korea bc of how many views it's getting but really it's just a normal hit.

I have no problem with Sistar or hip hop groups though setting a trend of new groups.

Honestly ?

Not a "bad influence" but SNSD birthed and also made companies greedy to put out all those super safe super girly girl groups. They are the sole reason why in 2014 and 2016 we STILL are getting those same type of groups.

As for BB, it's not their fault so many groups try to emulate their magic (and they do it badly) :)

BigBang, for setting the trend for idols to become disrespectful culture vultures.

this is going to be a shock to u so i ask u to hold onto ur seat before i deliver the following message:

kpop is literally based off of jpop. kpop has been culture-vulturing since before big bang was a twinkle in yg's eye.

The reason sexy concepts continue to exist in kpop it's because sex sells. Like, I'm pretty sure Stellar isn't continuing their streak of sexy comebacks after seeing Sistar's success, it's just because they realized they get more attention after people lost interest in them when they returned to a non-provocative concept.

Also, there's just as many innocent young virgin concepts in kpop as there is sexy concepts.

I've been reading this same sentence on the internet for over a decade now, that's nothing new. Now stop.
