Hyolyn: Hello this is Sistar Hyolyn. First off, though we haven't worked together for a long time (i think she said a month-since they started preparing/singing the song), we are close and i like MC oppa a lot. I trouble him a lot and torture him too (like joking around). Also when we do music, the MC oppa i know is not that MC oppa, he has a different side when he does music. Usually his appearance (the way he is) is different. Now that we are comfortable doing music, he has a cool image. I am very happy and touched. Definitely, the music has a different feel from Sistar and i often worry how to express myself/do it. MC oppa is such a good rapper, that i wonder if i will be able to do well. I worry a lot and singing is also hard (i don't think she means physically hard but like doing well enough to impress ppl) so of course i worry a lot. Jo Dong Min-sshi (his real name) fighting. 


 


MC: Hmm.Haha. First of all i like it/its good. Because its Sistar (she slaps him-hahaha). Of course its good and an honor since they sing so well. Soyou and Hyolyn personalities are different and also their singing styles are different. They also have charms to get closer to them so its ok. With this new song, as a singer, i wondered how to present it. I didn't want it to be the same like SIL (i think, he for sure makes a comparison between them). Worrying about it, i have come back as a singer. (smiles between them). Yes. MC Fierce album and title track Without You. From now on i will show you a good/cool song.

Are you implying it wasn't her decision to get a big tattoo on her stomach? I feel like an agency wouldn't force her to do something like that since it pretty much ruins her stomach. It's just my op

How many vocal coaches have she had? I think it has been three as far as we know

 

I think Kim Johan was her first vocal coach, and Kyeol her second one.(I've heard people mention The One coaching her but I've never seen receipts of that claim) I'm not sure if he still coaches her or if she now has a new one. He used to coach her during her IS2 days. There is this clip of him coaching her that I can't seem to find  but you can see him appear briefly at the start and around 15 seconds onwards

whoever is her coach now deserves a pat on the back :lol:

JTB's 'Hidden Singer' is currently looking for new impersonators for the season 3 of the show and Hyolyn's name is on the list

The show doesn't work like that. What would happen is that there would be a number of impersonators alongside Hyolyn, each one of them including Hyolyn will sing snippets from her song(s) and the audience guess which one is the real one. Then all impersonators compete and one winner is chosen. (I've never watched the show but this is what I got from it, not sure if my description is correct, so don't quote me on it)

currently super busy but just thought I'd come and just say hi quickly lol

 

also, aimHyo77 no one is arguing haha just giving constructive criticism, there's no need to get so defensive haha . I agree with whispershuzzy, Hyolyn still needs to work on that weakness but she is getting better. In general, I don't think kpop idols are good with harmonies, two powerful voices can harmonies but for it to work it takes for both vocalists to work well with one another. The 'Whenever You Call' performance is a nice example where Hyolyn and K.Will worked well together, however, it did get messy in their performance of 'Endless Love. I do believe Hyolyn will keep improving on this, as a vocalist she has come a long way in terms of improvements so hoping she shows fast progress as a duet partner too :)

 

Personally, I loved 'Without You' but also liked it better independenty(tbh I skip to Hyolyn's parts most of the time when watching it live), but I do like the song overall.
