Are you implying it wasn't her decision to get a big tattoo on her stomach? I feel like an agency wouldn't force her to do something like that since it pretty much ruins her stomach. It's just my op

Hyolyn will have a pictorial shooting with Paul Potts(who is going to Korea to promote movie 'One Chance') the only information I got

Yes, i don't know what's going on, either way,Starship always have projects for her. I'm kinda pissed tbh because I really wish a variety show for her, the wrong preconception about her is gonna be gone once the people know her personality

HYOLYN:

 

How well do you know Paul Potts?

 

I met him for the first time today, so I didn't know him at all before. Of course I knew (some things) about him. I knew about the touching story of when he auditioned, and I saw him on Star King when he last visited Korea. To be honest, even though I had never met him in person, it felt like I knew him.

 

 

As a similar artist, don't you think it's amazing that he has fulfilled his dream?

 

Of course. Not only us as Sistar had trainee days. We were living as normal people, but then got the opportunity to become trainees. You could say Paul Potts achieved everything at once, but I think that at least for me, there are still many dreams left.

 

 

When you met the man whom you have become to known only by what other people said about him, how was it? Was it like meeting a neighbourhood ajusshi?

 

It wasn't like that at all. It felt a little like the time when I was standing on stage with Stevie Wonder. When I see people who really love music, it makes me feel at ease. Today was like that, too. It was like being with a person who loves music. Because of this chance, I feel like I became more mature and decided I needed to become more like (my) role models.

 

 

You made today's shoot so fun today that I think Paul Potts had fun too. I heard from the staff that today was the happiest Paul had been since coming to Korea.

 

It's a shame. If I knew more English, we could talk more and have even more fun together.

 

 

It's been 5 years already since Sistar debuted. I think you rose to this position (in which you are now) because you took a chance.

 

Because we took that chance back then, I think I am the way I am now. I didn't let the chance pass me by, so I have had an amazing luck and received so much love. Then another chance came along, and I had a chance to go solo.

 

 

Since you brought up your solo career, I'm going to ask you this. Is it different being in a group and being solo?

 

It's very different. I was so pressured when I was making my solo album. If I hadn't debuted as "Sistar's Hyolyn" in the first place, maybe it wouldn't have been (so pressuring). I only get as much as I do and if I can't do something, only I have a bad time. But if I'm away from my group a while, it's different to do solo stuff. Because of me, the group and members will know the aftermath, so that's why. I'm not just Hyolyn, I'm Sistar's Hyolyn.

 

 

Some time ago, you said that you wanted to become a bit more pretty. But seems like you've become so much prettier without even doing anything.

 

Could it be because I've gained some weight? (People) still ask me to become more pretty. But this doesn't happen at (my) company (*laughs*). It really might be because I thought of it as listening to music. There's a big difference between hearing that my songs are so good that it makes me look prettier, and hearing that I'm prettier than my friends. The former is so much better. But I asked people around me to stop saying those things altogether, so they don't.

 

 

I saw during the shoot that you have some kind of tattoo on your arm. What's the meaning behind it?

 

It's an Ichthys. It means God's son.

 

 

A tattoo is a part of this king of lifestyle and also an artform. When did you develop interest in tattoos?

 

It started because it was a way to cover up a scar I have in my stomach. I mean the cross that has already been in media. Back then I really fell for tattoos. To be honest, my boss scolded me a lot when I got it. He said it's in a place where everyone can see it (*laughs*).

 

 

Someone I know who sometimes gets tattoos says the procedure itself is pleasurable.

 

That's true. In my case, I took (the cross tattoo) to get rid of my complex concerning the scar, but at the same time I felt stress relief. As a girl group, we have to wear really revealing clothes. Before, I couldn't wear those clothes with confidence. Now I have confidence! (*laughs*)

 

 

I think you, as an artist, still have many dreams you'd like to achieve.

 

There's no end to those dreams. I'm more greedy than I look. I don't know how long I'll work as a singer, but I don't think I'll ever stop being an idol. I want to keep studying music and set my name into the distant future, and do a world tour. Of course, performing on stage has many different sides that I can see, and I can personally put on a show that hypnotizes the audience. But it's still a distant dream. Of course I first have to make sure about where my members stand. I think solidifying Sistar's position comes first (rather than my solo activities).

 

 

(You) said that today your dorm life ends and you move to your own space. How are you feeling? Does it feel like you have much more freedom?

 

I have more worries. When I was living in a dorm, I could just live. But from now on, I have to do everything (*laughs*). Having to personally take care of bills itself adds pressure. Even though living on my own has pros to it, it brings different responsibilities and obligations that I have to take care of, and that worries me (*laughs*).

 

 

When is Sistar coming back as a whole?

 

When Dasom's drama shoot ends, we'll go back to normal schedule. So I guess in about 5 months?

 

 

So, Paul Potts said he'd like to sing together with you today if given the chance.

 

 

That's good. Every new opportunity is something I will enjoy. Even more so if it's with Paul Potts!

Singer Bada revealed a photo taken with SISTAR member Hyorin.

 

Bada tweeted on June 3rd, “Proof shot. ‘Stop looking at my dongseng Hyorin~~’ I was so surprised at how nice Hyorin is. Cutieâ€, and she attached the photo above.

 

In the photo, Bada and Hyorin are looking natural and delightful as they pose for the camera. It is a heartwarming image which shows the beautiful friendship between these two sunbae and hoobae of the music industry. Ironically these two good friends also happen to be two of the most powerful vocalists in K-Pop.

 

Netizens commented on Bada and Hyorin’s photo, “They look like sistersâ€, “Beautiful girls even look alikeâ€, “Where are they going? Take me with you pleaseâ€, and so on.

The show doesn't work like that. What would happen is that there would be a number of impersonators alongside Hyolyn, each one of them including Hyolyn will sing snippets from her song(s) and the audience guess which one is the real one. Then all impersonators compete and one winner is chosen. (I've never watched the show but this is what I got from it, not sure if my description is correct, so don't quote me on it)

Sound pretty cool, so Hyorin is one of the candidates? public can vote or is a PD team decision? And who the hell would sound even similar to Hyorin

Been awhile...

Has there been a video for that concert they did recently where they were in black?

 

Also WIthout You is kind of bad. By bad I mean boring. I mean I find Mad Clown meh anyway, but at least that song with Soyu worked well. Hyorin however...she just doesn't connect for me. I think a lot of it stems from Hyorin being a bad duet/collab partner. Like I don't think I have actually enjoyed many of her collabs/duets she has done as a whole. I like her parts, and other parts, but for the most part...nah.

She too much of a leader to follow and that hurts her in those cases. I also think it has a lot to do with her musical wit, and she generally just follows what is given instead of adapting, which may also include a partner. She is getting better. That Let It Go performance with Ailee was nice enough. But then there was the performance in LA with 2PM...and I hated her section with Jun K. Too messy on so many ends. She was clean with her parts, but when they tried to sing together, no coordination, no harmonies, and she didn't even try to adapt to him. I am not saying she should do all the work, but I think this is a weakness for her. In that same performance Soyu adapted to both Wooyoung and Jun K.

It just a thing that bothers me with Hyorin. 

Yeah is possible, usually in Sistar all the songs are builded around her voice/around her and Soyou is the one who have to adapt,she's a natural "soloist", I liked the LA colaboration but I did feel that in one point JunK and her were playing a power competition,most of the fans who want to hear Hyorin's duets are only waiting her parts , to hear her voice,that why she get praises no matter what.

She may have to work in her symbiosis  skills

Also; I love without you and I feel different from you about it, but I got your point
