Can Hyolyn come back already??? I MISS HER SO MUCH

I have zero idea how Sistar song is gonna be good or bad, but Hyo's vocals will always be welcome. She makes every song sound good. 

it seems like we won't be seeing much of her on variety shows once Sistar come back, I hope she goes on lots of singing shows now that she has gotten plenty of rest to rest her chords.

Are you implying it wasn't her decision to get a big tattoo on her stomach? I feel like an agency wouldn't force her to do something like that since it pretty much ruins her stomach. It's just my op

sigh, I hope it doesn't continue like this. She can't go the whole year with just a few Sistar festival performances and 1 OST.

the thing is i'm sure starship is testing waters with this mini album since this is their first one where they're going to do promotions all over asia so if they'll get positive feedback , you can predict another album from sistar around september and an asia tour then say goodbye to hyolyn solo comeback enless they going to milk her up and make her do everything at once like what happens each year

ugh I hope this won't be the case. I hope they don't overwork her with Sistar especially when all members have found their own thing now.

 

I hope that Starship would promote Sistar in other Asian countries--especially because I've seen the fancams and they've got a lot of fans--but I also think that there is more that Starship could do for Sistar in Korea. They've done a lot with their brand of public relevancy and fanbase but I do think that they could go higher. To the point where they could hold concerts in Korea if they wanted to.

 

I think that the extent of Sistar's Asia promotions is gonna be Skechers Meet and Greets, which is clever and kinda cheap because Starship doesn't have to do much to put it together. Although I really hope that they put in a little more effort than that. My fear is that Sistar is Starship's foot into other markets but that they won't dive in with them. Like, Sistar's presence will help whatever negotiations SS has but Sistar won't really do promotions in other countries--just kinda pop in for a concert with other acts.

 

Oh and I hope that Hyolyn does more varieties for this comeback, someone said that Starship was adding schedules to their calendar after the members had already done them so maybe that's why Hyolyn schedules look particularly empty. I really hope it's not like last time, last time it made no sense that Dasom and Hyolyn did not that many appearances.

 

edit: praying that Hyolyn's solo comeback isn't some kind of after thought that she has to squeeze in between a group comeback and a collaboration. I, honestly, would be fine if she didn't comeback this year at all. I want her to be able to put her full attention on her solo and whatever appearances she makes to promote instead of splitting her attention a million different ways like last time. I mean, I know she could do it, but I hate that she has to choose/sacrifice her solo for other things.

I laughed when I read about them adding schedules after they happened. You had one job Starship!

 

About her solo comeback,I agree with you. I'd rather she came back at the start of next year with an album that is even better than her solo debut album(which was great) and that she gets to promote solo properly.

I'm not even mad that they dropped DC villains, it's understandable, but why do all the teasers look like they were done by an amateur? I don't even mind that everything so far has only slightly been an #evilcharmer concept, but why are Sistar's teasers so plain? So far everything's been misleading, clumsy, boring or disappointing. I thought there'd be a silver lining with the 4 different album covers but I don't know if I want to pay $80 for albums with a photobook/cover that look anything like the teasers we've seen so far. I know a lot of us wanted this comeback to be the one where Sistar comes roaring back to the forefront, to make everyone recognize them as a contender for the best girl group but so far only the names of the songs (and the fact that Sistar is singing them) has inspired hope for a turnaround in Sistar's career.

 

I can now only wish that Starship used the money they saved from the teasers and put it to the actual music video and that the songs on this album are amazing.

after seeing those cover pictures and the latest one from the set I'm more than sure Starcheap doesn't care enough about Sistar to spend big money on them since they'll sell regardless cause of their brand value. Sistar needs to flop for the company to wake up. Compare the quality of their teaser pix to Monsta X's

Everything about this comeback was a mess. If they wanted to do the previous concept they should have looked for information and then if they couldn't they should try another concept. And everyring should have been done with time. Starship is giving up sistar. I'm so pressed about the fact they'll promote monsta x in their new mv. I wouldn't be surprise if the new mv is sponsored by the mall where they are filming. Basically starship is not spending any money in sistar. They are not even promoting sistar outside of korea. It's actually skechers. Sistar's status/career is dangerous at this point.

Say it louder! I'm sick of MX too and I got pissed seeing they were at the cheap MV set. Not only is Starcheap going to use all that money Sistar made them on MX's promo cycle, but they're also going to use Sistar's lackluster MVs to promote some of MX's group members. They might as well give Jooheon a solo debut this year too while they're at it. This always happens with companies when they find new ways to earn money (we saw it with RV and Exo being better promoted than snsd & suju) but I don't think it ever went as far as affect the quality of music from groups like snsd and suju. The fact that none of the Sistar members posted the latest set of teaser pix on their IGs probably means they're not satisfied either.

The funny is that sistar actually make a lot of money :imstupid: If you look starship's financial statements SISTAR make as much money as Infinite for example that hold a lot of tours . What are they expecting from monsta x? Big bang or Exo's level? No lmao. Starship is so delusional. Only groups from the big 3 can make that much. If monsta x is succesful their fanbase will be as big as infinite/beast/bts. You don't even know how pressed and sick i'm about monsta x. If SISTAR's are not satisfied they should do something. They're on a level where they should be able to have more decision, especially more now that starship doesn't care about sistar.

I'm so pressed about them too, at first I was rooting for them and everything but now seeing all this injustice done to Sistar I've been put off by them. The group is still solid and they're not at fault but Starship is. Sistar makes a lot of money, it's unfortunate that Starship doesn't give their all to Sistar when it comes to their music. They rely on their brand value and endorsers to do that job, so much cost efficiency I can't even.

I just wanted to say, if you're disappointed in what we've seen so far with Sistar's comeback/concept, (I don't know if anyone is or not in this thread) one of main/most important parts of Sistar's current music, image, concepts and brand is Hyolyn's vocals. With this comeback we're pretty much guaranteed to get lots of Hyolyn singing! Just a silver lining I thought I'd point out~  :)

only reason I'm looking forward to their cb atm.

hello everyone .... I am new here ... I mean to this thread .... Never new of its existence until today .... & really .... Komawooo sooo very much for creating this amazing place concerning the lovely & only Hyolyn ... Thanks a lot

 

I had been to the sistar thread before .... It's a very good thread ... but didn't feel comfortable there as I noticed they barely talk about hyo ..... 99 % of the time about Bora & Soyou .... & recently Dasom .... Frankly I am not a star1 .... I do like & respect the girls .... but my love & interest is only hyolyn .... I am her fan ... Actually ..... she is the one who made me indulge into K-pop & its music ... Her voice trapped my soul in a way difficult to describe ... I hope U accept my here as one of U hyo's fans .... & thanks again for this great place

Well .... since yesterday ... I am trying to catch all the things related to this current comeback ..... & honestly speaking I was disappointed ... why ?? for one reason ... becuz of our queen

 

I remember at the beginning of this year ... Hyo did an interview & said she will concentrate now more on solo activities + the group when the comeback happens ... so, I was extremely happy that finally we will get more of out hyo & her amazing stuff & not like last year .... as last year was totally completely for SOYOU .... then BAM .... Hyo's appearances become less & less by time .. so I thought it's ok girl ... maybe with the comeback ... her comeback as she said before it might be around summer ... another BAM ... sistar comeback will be before her solo comeback .... said to myself it's okk we will still see her .... Shot with another BAM .... to find she got the least lines & stuff in this comeback also

 

Thanks to IAAS of course as at least we got to see 3 amazing stages that I nearly everyday watch & listen to + of course her IG + the last 3 photoshoots which FINALLY happened .... as for the SISTAR SHOWTIME .... it's okk but still I felt she got the least screen time like bora .... I dunno why .... why we don't get to see her on variety shows like before ... it's always SOYOU on every single variety show opportunity even now after the comeback ... I am actually very happy that Dasom & Bora started to shine this year in this area & started to be exposed more cuz let us be frank ... Soyou had taken more chances than enough ....

 

Anyhow .... please forgive me if I offended anyone with what I said earlier ... I wanted to vent out my feelings as I waited & waited & waited & than BAM ... & to top it all .... I again read here & there the shit regarding line distribution & blah blah .. I am sure U al know the story ... I just miss our dorky queen & goes back always to watch her old stuff :._.:

yeah, this comeback was a let down for me, I'm all here for all the members getting their own solo work but Hyolyn is literally only active as OT4 these days and that's what sucks. Starship is such a bad company when it comes to managing Starship I won't even go into all of that because I'll end of writing an essay of complaints lol 

 

Since Hyolyn recently followed the rapper Dok2 on IG I'm hoping she's secretly working on her solo album again. 

 

I'm one of the few people who enjoyed shake it by the first listen :lol:

I disliked the whole bridal veil + cat ears look but her look for the other stage was just stunning *.*

she sounds good in this but her voice comes off really nasally and I she was imitating Jinsil's style (i know she was supposed to)

but it came off weird and it would have been MUCH better in her own vocal tone...

I also have a love hate relationship with her stage mannerisms 

sometimes it looks good most times she looks like she doesn't know what to do with her hands 

 

anyways i'm not hating... i hope she gets styled like this more often she looks stunning  :rlytearpls:

I agree with this, Hyo's voice is versatile but I'm not a fan of the way she made herself sound in that cover with Jinsil. She could have done it like Esna and sang it in her own way instead of Jinsil's way.

Hyolyn effortlessly resonating Eb5s in 2011 (only 15 months post debut).

so she was always good from the start, just lacked consistency which she has now.

It's funny how she was always heavily downplayed in the past by people who didn't want to acknowledge her vocal abilities because they can't judge someone they can't stand objectively.

Randomly jumping in here, but does anyone know if Hyorin's going to be singing or covering a new song soon? or appearing on any singing shows? quite thirsty for more singing material rather than the songs they're promoting.

Unfortunately, she only has OT4 activities atm, I also miss her solo performances too. Besides IAAS3 at the start of the year, she's only done 2 special stages with Boohwal and some concert she attended a few months back + her OST. It sucks that she doesn't have anything on her schedule besides Sistar promotions.....

I've been loving Hyorin since I heard my first SISTAR song... I think that was back when 'Loving You' came out. 

Never understood all the Hyorin hate and never will. I hope she'll put out another solo album cuz her first one was perfection (to me). One of the rare occasions where I like the whole album (excluding 'stalker'... I really hate that song lol). Or maybe SISTAR19 can come back cuz I just need MORE HYORIN!!!
