I was checking my tumblr and as a hyorin's fan I need to say this:

Many Hotties tend to complain about the backlash Hyo gets, and even the most irrelevant comment make them go like "Hyorin get so much hate" "They always bash Hyorin" "She get bashed a lot" AND since I'm multi fandom I need to say that "IS NOT TRUE"

Of course she get bashed because she's extremely popular and of course she get shit for the same reason but to be fair, the amount negative responses she receive are directly proportional with her popularity, if she didn't get any (Like other member) it would mean she's irrelevant, which she's not.-

 

I think is accurate to say Hyorin is inside Sistar the member with more fans outside star1 and outside the kpop fandom age fraction (old people in korea who don't know shit about idols actually know Hyorin) and that's something to be proud of.

Being a Hyottie myself is something that gave me so much joy and proud this past years and i have learned to take any negative bullshit as a compliment cause I would hate to have a bias with only positive backs cause that would mean my bias isn't threat to anyone, AND LETS BE HONEST; HYORIN IS A THREAT TO EVERYONE INSIDE KPOP INCLUDING OTHER SISTAR'S MEMBER FANS.-

I agree with this, I think the reason why so many of Hyorin's fans are bothered by some of the hate is because the worst hate tends to come from so called Star1s. Fun fact: apparently, the one who started her fanmeet controversy was a "star1". How lovely.

 

 

Anyways, I hope Starship invests a lot of $$$ in Sistar's next comeback as well as Hyorin's solo comeback.

Yeah is a knowing fact that most of Hyorin's hatters are star1, something so ridiculous cause those same fans are the one who want to sistar win awards and go to shows, S.I.S.T.A.R. a group that can't perform whatsoever without Hyorin.-

Anyways, about that "controversy" wasn't even that relevant outside the fandom, most of the people have no idea about that, even during that time they just probably saw some dumb comments on NB but I know was very hurtful for Hyorin, she doesn't have any relevant scandal or controversy, just a couple of made up articles from irrelevants I-sites about her face but nothing actually legit.-

 

I don't know how many of you guys do it,how you stay in a such a sad fandom, I simply can't because I know Hyorin deserve better

 

yeah it's sad that she had to apologize for but I liked how Starship basically replied to the "controversy" with 'Hyorin treats her fans like family, so cut the bs'

I stay in the fandom because the things have calmed down. Basically now I don't see star1s hating hyorin. I think they have accepted her role as face and main vocalist as well as the most popular.And If a star1 bash hyorin I don't know why I should stop liking sistar. I've seen hyotties bashing the other members too.

 

 

no one said they stopped liking the members or Sistar just because they don't consider themselves part of the star1 fandom, you can still like the other girls and not consider yourself a fan of said fandom. There are bad apples in all fandoms, some more than other, that is all.

In my opinion, Hyorin isnt the most popular sistar member, shes just more known. You could say shes the most famous but definitely not the most popular since she has a lot of antis and not that many loyal fans. In SISTAR, Boras the most popular because shes the prettiest and Koreans are obsessed with looks and aegyo.

Within the fandom she's not the most popular, Dasom is. Outside of the fandom Hyorin is the most popular member. I've heard this from people that live in Korea that have followed Sistar since debut and considering how huge her solo sales are, how many solo endorsement deals she has and how big she is with the general public, it makes sense.

i always assumed she was the least popular since people always pick on her looks and talent. and omg Dasom, i thought she was the least popular since she has zero activities 

 

what's the difference between fame and popularity? It's practically the same thing.

 

Suzy who is crazy popular also has a lot of antis, hate usually comes with fame and the more popular you are, the more hate you tend to get. MJ had tons of haters who made their life mission to bring him down, does that mean he wasn't popular? No, you can't really assume that she isn't popular just because you see many of her haters around.  And no, Hyorin doesn't have zero activities, she's been working her ass off since 2010 and now because all other members got more popular(which is a good thing) she can finally rest and work on her album behind the scenes. I didn't know, IAAS3, Without You, Erase, IS2, solo appearances at concerts, LIG, solo debut with a full album, 2 top selling OSTs, concert with top violinist Laurent Korcia, I Live Alone etc were zero activities...

doesn't star1 means that you're a fan of sistar tho? . Like you said in every fandom(sones, blackjacks etc...) there will be bad apples, star1 is not diferrent. I used to dislike sistar fandom but now that things got better and people have calmed down I am Ok with star1s.

and why Dasom is the most popular within the fandom? I thought it was hyorin and bora. She Doesn't even have individual fanbases as I see with bora or hyorin.

 

no it doesn't. Star1 is the fandom and Sistar is the group, I can still like Sistar without considering myself a Star1. Maybe people have calmed down because Sistar haven't had a comeback yet? People tend to show their true colors whenever there is a Sistar related comeback.

 

she's the visual and visuals tend to have the most fanboys and fangirls in Korea. Also, her starring in those 2 TV shows Shut Up Family and that other one contributed greatly to her individual fanbase. I'm talking about Korean fans, not the International ones. Internationally, it's Hyorin and Bora who are most popular.

did i say hyorin has zero activities? if you read it again i was talking about DASOM. i know hyorin works her ass off and always has, im not denying Hyorins talents since she is extremely talented. and she has the most activities out of the sistar members.

The other 3 individual fandom are pretty chill, from what i've seen, and a lot of them even take pride in Sistar because of Hyorin. The bad apples usually come from Hyorin's fans.

You becoming a fan in September of 2014 explains why. I've been following Sistar since end of 2011 and have come across quite a lot of bs from so called Star1s, this isn't something Hyorin fans make up. And no the bad apples don't usually come from Hyorin fans, the Hyorin fans who bash the other members never claimed to be Star1s and don't hide behind that umbrella(I'm not giving them any excuse, most of them had enough after GNAAL and decided to bash back). Hyorin's solo debut was bojcotted by majority of K-Star1s back in  2013 and I have my sources for this info, her "attitude" controversy was started by a star1 and with every comeback you have star1s bashing her for the lines and most of the bashing about her looks were from star1s during Sistar19's last promo. If you haven't followed Sistar since Alone you wouldn't know all of this. I'd say things have gotten better but bashers will exist no matter what. I saw tons of "star1s" bash Hyorin on twitter when news came that she was going to release a collab with Jooyoung, which is why I said that most show their true colors during Sistar related releases. Hyotties help out the most with the fandom be it in subbing or dedicating fanpages to the group. When 4starsubs translated a JooRin video a lot of star1s complained and called them Hyorin biased....

 

Bad apples exist in all individual fanbases and I'm not denying that there are crazy Hyorin fans too.

 

EDIT: I'll also add that I didn't see a single Hyorin fan bash the other members until after GNAAL.

 

EDIT again: the "Hyorin and the girls" era was so 2011 and 2012.

It's  for a KBS 1TV "Falcon Tribute Special 7080 Concert". Falcon is a legendary korean band and Hyorin was one of the singers asked to join their special.

How can people still deny her being the #1 idol singer when all these respected veteran singers praise her/ want to perform with her. I don't see ailee or tayeon performing or getting praised yet Hyorin still gets bashed and is called irrelevant along with sistar. People are so delusional -_-
