There are definitely good ones and I am not denying that. Even in the Sistar thread there are good ones, I never meant to make a generalization, was just speaking from personal experience, and I apologize if I sounded rude cause that is not how I wanted my post to sound like.

On Sketchbook, SISTAR appeared where they talked honestly about their track record.

 

Yoo Hee Yeol asked, "Between all the idol groups today, it's unique that SISTAR is known as a group. What do you think about the power of entertainment?" to which Bora responded, "Even though music programs catch the attention of the younger audience, the entertainment industry itself appeals to many different age groups." She added, "We developed not just through entertainment but through dramas and MCing, and many other personal activities. Becoming popular also helped a lot."

 

Regarding the album, Hyorin expressed some worries. "I wanted to challenge ourselves by trying a genre that only a few like, and I was upset that the song I composed eventually got scrapped because it wasn't public-friendly." Dasom continued, "Hyorin's voice is distinct and even though the song was good, we also understood the position of our company that was focused on earning profit."

Hyo's comment about her song being scrapped because it wasn't public friendly worries me--it makes it seem like Starship wants SISTAR to play it safe each and every time with their albums and comebacks instead of stepping out of their shell and showing something different.

same here. I didn't like how they didn't want to take a risk. :/// and will we ever hear that track? smh public friendly or not, it could have opened  doors for Sistar as a group(if it was a title track). Who knows, maybe people would've actually ended up loving it for it's uniqueness?

It makes me think Starship is putting an emphasis on digital sales and the public because they KNOW that's what keeps SISTAR popular. This was what I was worried about the most--Starship and SISTAR relying too much on the public. If they release something that isn't public friendly, SISTAR will truly "flop" on the charts because they don't have a fanbase to back them up. I can't think of anything that would help increase their fanbase though. They are at the point where they have a lot of antis because they threaten other girl groups & they're also a really easy target to hate. At this point in their career, it's difficult to gather a fanbase.

I am just commenting on her attitude which is totally obvious nowadays .... I know they are just doing what they have been requested to do ... I know they are only employees after all ... believe me I know .... but also if U - and am sure U did -  watched sistar's vids before and now .... U will see the difference in her attitude ... Hyorin never changed .... either her personality nor her attitude ... and that's wat made me pissed off of soyou .. I used really to like her before .... but now ... there is big change .... I am disappointed

 

I don't think people understand Soyou's sense of humor. She is the most sarcastic of the members--clearly she was joking around when she called herself the Nation's Some girl, just like the time she joked around when she said she was more popular than Bora. Besides, I mentioned this in the SISTAR thread, but Starship is just capitalizing on the success of Some and pushing Soyou to do variety this year. That's business, not a conspiracy.

I don't want to lower myself to that level wither .. not at all .... its something I just wanted to vent it out freely with U guys .... and that's why I didn't post my feelings over there in the sistar's thread ..... anyways ... in case if I hurt anyoe of U with my opinion or words .... lol it's okay, everyone has their own opinions. I'm glad Soyou is getting more individual activities though. She really deserves it. SISTAR is one of the very, very few idol groups that have balanced individual activities for each member. I'm sure we'll see more of Hyolyn some time later this year or early 2015. Considering all of Hyolyn's composed songs got rejected for SISTAR's album, that just means she has plenty of material to work with for her own solo album.

i believe we will get a sistar19 comeback before hyorin solo cause the two have little to zero activities this time around so they will spend a lot of time in the studio hoppfully a sistar19 first album or mini album

 

If there is a SISTAR19 comeback, I hope the producers give Bora more parts. Poor girl has been neglected the past three SISTAR/SISTAR19 comebacks when it comes to line distribution in title tracks.

So much drama between Sistar fans, Hyorin fans, Dasom, Bora and Soyou fans... I hate it. Not just on OH but on Twitter and everywhere. Twitter is especially crazy sometimes. I really wish it wasn't like this and I often wonder if this is the reason that Sistar can't grow a strong fandom like SNSD and 2NE1. Maybe they could reach the top if they had this. I admit I stan Sistar mainly because of Hyorin but I want to see the group achieve their full potential as well.

 

Haha yes.... our fandom is all over the place tbh, though we were pretty united during Touch My Body promotions. Sometimes we support the group as OT4 and sometimes when our bias doesn't get enough attention or doesn't get enough lines, we take it out on the other members or we take it out on Starship. It's unhealthy, but at the same time, I think it's okay to be critical of someone we support. If we were to take everything on a silver platter, we would turn into fans of other groups that will accept mediocre things simply because we like the group. This is what has happened to other big groups out there--they can release shitty songs because they know their fans will eat it up no matter what, but for SISTAR fans, we are more critical of it and simply won't buy it if we don't like it, even if we are huge fans of the group. I think that's what differentiates our fandom from others. We're not deluded to think that our bias group is perfect because the girls act human (they make mistakes, they don't pretend to be something they're not), thus we don't fall into the trap that many kpop fans fall into.

About hyorin's fancam:

I don't understand this Bora's fans ... any star1 or hyottie is bashing Bora yet they're spreading again that hyotties are saying that hyorin should rap more in sistar's songs and that bora is bad . I mean PYT only said that hyorin should rap more I don't see anything wrong. I wish they'd stop taking every comment so serious And making up stories. They're becoming so sensitive.

 

 

I called them out on twitter. Asked "Since when does saying 'Hyolyn should rap more!!!' translate to 'Hyolyn should rap more in SISTAR songs!!!'" 

 

Bora fans were the ones assuming that Hyotties were saying they wanted Hyolyn to rap more in SISTAR songs. We NEVER mentioned SISTAR at all. Why are they pretending like Hyolyn doesn't have a solo career or collab career where she could showcase her rapping? it was really funny because they twisted our words and made it seem like we wanted Hyolyn to take over Bora's rapping parts in SISTAR songs when that wasn't what we said at all lmfao

I love how she's shown potential in rap too, hopefully Starship do send her to SMTM4. She's also such a good dancer, I'd love for her to post some dance and song covers through her IG. She was the first person I started stanning back in 2011 and she never made be regret my decision. Is there anything she can't do? ;D

I would love for Jooheon to use Hyolyn in a collab stage for SMTM4. They have a good friendship and Hyolyn supports him so much. I'm sure she wouldn't mind joining him for a collab stage on SMTM4, and I'm sure Jooheon would jump at the chance to work more closely with Hyolyn too
