I mean, he's a Taiwanese MC, of course he's gonna say Taiwanese shows are better. And who are we to say otherwise since a majority of us don't watch Taiwanese shows to know.

Some of Taiwanese shows do look funny cuz the casts and mcs doesn't limit as much with their behaviors and word choice on T.V (if it a curse or s.t, they can just bluff out the word ahha), but becuz no fansubs that I cant follow their show.

 

Only Taiwanese dramas has huge followers to have regular sub from international fans.

I wouldn't say that they're better, they're certainly different, especially their talk shows, of which I do watch. Sounds like he's running his mouth though.

I would say the same. Variety shows in my country is better than others. It is just we like to watch others too but the product in our own country is the best.

I mean I understand Chinese so I would say that Taiwanese variety shows are probably more relatable to me.

 

 

But Yoo Jae Suk's Happy Together Season 3 broke the language barrier for me. Yoo Jae Suk is like He Jiong from Happy Together where he renders the guests VERY comfortable REALLY quickly and the guest just naturally make their own headline without looking being forced to speak.

 

But Jacky Wu have an interesting style too. Both MCs are unique in their own ways.

I've only seen Wo Cai x3  back in the days with him and Rainie and I thought he was a pretty good MC.

 

Reading the article, he does come off as bitter towards K-variety shows.

I've watched a couple of Taiwanese variety shows and some Chinese variety shows, and I liked them more than many Korean variety shows, maybe bc I prefer shows that the idols go and play some games, instead of variety shows that idols go and just talk.

It's such a shame Japanese variety don't get subbed. I feel they are the ultimate variety shows.
