Any wishes for Nana's next projects ?

 

Here are mines :

 

- Bride of the Water God (TVN) : I am not particulary fan of the storyline but the lead is Nam Joohyuk. I don't know much about this guy but he is the hottest trend right now and Nana's popularity would be crazy if she was his co-lead. I mean Nana already is pretty popular ofc and she's a respected actress now but she needs a huge fanbase. Look at Lee Sungkyung, she gained a lot of popularity with Cheese in the Trap and SBS Doctors but her last drama with NJH made her so big (she has like 600K likes per insta post now, more than any female idols...). That's WHY she needs to be NJH's next partner, i actually don't care if it is for this specific drama lmao.

 

What makes me think she has a chance : She has black hair and the manga character has black hair, the main actress declined the offer (Moon Chaewon), Tvn really seems to like Nana (she made another random list few days ago : http://m.entertain.naver.com/read?oid=117&aid=0002871187)and Tvn is looking for an actress on her late 20's for the role (Nana is 26). Lets pray she gets the role, NJH would be the JACKPOT. 

 

- Chicago Typewriter (TVN) : Same here I'm not fan of the drama or whatever but I feel like this drama will be very popular i don't know why lol. The cast is strong (Yoo Ah In) but the lead actress will apparently be Lim Soojung and I want Nana to be the lead for her next project... Anyway, that would be a good opportunity for Nana, even if she's the second lead.

 

- Kingdom (Netflix?) : It's Signal's writer next project (Signal was really really popular last year) and it is in discussions to be broadcasted on Netflix! And the budget is said to be really big with only 8 episodes. Really excited but unfortunately I don't think any idol will make it, or maybe just for a supporting role. The filming will be this summer/fall tho, lets keep praying.

Cheese in the Trap movie : I think the movie will be kind of successful but I dont know it seems like a teenage mess. I saw some vids of the drama and i didn't like it. Plus the filming will start in late april so : no new project until april cause it's to short to film a drama or a movie, and no schedule until august/september because she would be filming CITT. So I really don't want this movie for her. :( I have the feeling that it will be her next project tho...

 

Uee 2.0 : Don't hate me, I love Uee and she's a great actress but her dramas (except Hogu) are really uninteresting. It's like soap for ajummas, I don't want this type of career for Nana.

Most of the reviews said she did a great job, of course not an AMAZING performance but it did secure her position as a talented idol turned actress. Some of them said her character wasnt that interesting tho (typical sexy con woman).

 

I actually read two bad reviews about Nana's performance (this video and an other article).

plus they just released news articles today, saying that Lee Jaehoon is in the talks. I know Nana's filming Four Men, but there is a possibility that she can film both at the same time

Thank you for the info! I did some research actually and the document comes from the tiffcom which is a big entertainment event in Japan... so it's not totally fake imo. Obviously we'll have to wait for the confirmation, and this pic is from oct/nov so the cast might have changed (well if this pic is real lol).

 

I dont think the timing is a problem, Lee Jehoon will film a movie in early 2018, same for Jang Dong Gun who will film his new drama until april. Maybe City of Stars filming will start in may/june with a 2018 Q4 premiere.

my oh my...this is such a great opportunity(it could be a risk too) for Nana but if it's true, 2018 is going to be a very busy year for her and there will be no comebacks.

 

but..let me be excited for awhile. Here's what i've found so far from various sites:

 

"City of Stars is about a friendship between astronauts, which is conflicted by differing patriotic loyalties, and there may also be a romantic subplot. Rumors say that certain top stars are eyeing the project because it’s shaping up to become the next blockbuster drama"

- Actually the news about this drama/castings already surfaced since 2016 and it should've aired LAST YEAR

- The director is very famous for his hit movies and a skillful director.

- The director, Jang Jin wanted Hyun Bin to join drama.

 

- Hyun Bin has received an offer to be the lead in this drama, but it was not confirmed by his agency since he also received other offers. Some said he decided not to join and some said he hasn't made the decision yet, i'm confused now..(The Swindlers reunion? ) about the timing, i think it should be okay since he already filmed his 2 movies for this year since july and september.

 

- Jang Dong Gun said he did not even received the offer in the first place.

- Lee Je Hoon is currently reviewing the offer positively. (3 days ago) and i think he's going to take hyunbin's role

 

- This drama will be completely pre-produced and it's a big budget drama.

I'm pretty sure this pic was true at some point. I mean it's an official document from the tiffcom and not some fanfiction blog. Crazy budget dramas like that usually secure their cast, filming dates and places, airtime etc a long time in advance (for investors). Maybe some of the cast members have changed now, we'll have to wait to know if Nana is still in.

 

The only weird thing on this pic is "will be shown in the first half". I mean Lee Jehoon who will probably get the lead will be filming his new movie for the next few months... I don't think "City of Stars" filming will start before april tbh and I dont know how the premiere date can be in the first half of the year lol.

Just wondering, does Nana have her own apartment right now or she’s still living with oc in a dorm? And what about the type of car that she drives? I feel curious lol

 

She currently owns a Porsche Cayenne (from her instagram pics). I think she's living in Seoul/Gangnam with her parents atm but I can't remember the source lol. Well it was confirmed a few years ago by Raina that she has left the dorm tho.

this so much. Nana really needs to step up her game, you see other rising / popular actresses grabbing roles left and right with 3 or 4 dramas and movies in a single year... Actually I think she should have left Pledis, don't know why she renewed tbh...
