yum yum fancam! i honestly think she was one of the best in this team #justicefordani

She stood out so much I was so proud of her.  If you take youtube views and likes she actually ranks as top 10 in terms of views/likes.  Internationally she is really popular..  Sadly on Naver in Korea she ranks bottomish :(

 

I thought the Yum Yum performance would wake Korea up but it looks like they are still sleeping on her and by all accounts it looks like she won't make the top 22.  Which is going to be gutting because I feel like all Dani needs is a good chance and she will grab it with two hands.  She has come to close to many times so I can only imagine how she feels all over again.

 

My fear is that MBK has zero clue on how to handle her, and they don't want to let her go elsewhere or she stays out of loyalty.  I dont think a Duo would work with Shannon (I dont think Korea would have taken to it) and unless MBK decides to make DIA  a 9 member group then I worry for her.  I almost hope that another company takes her on rather than waste away in MBK dungeon :( (JYP/Pledis/Fantagio)

Im back to being salty about Dani after watching the EP 10 subs :(

 

To put it one way - MNET totally shafted Dani just like they butchered Chanmi and attempted with Cathy.

 

I mean...if you didn't watch the backstage videos you would never know that Dani talks to anyone when in actual fact she made a lot of good friends (Somi, Yoojung, Soyeon, Doyeon).  But this was never shown on the main TV shows at all.  You would never know that Dani and Somi were really close.

 

And what annoys me is that Dani really needed this and if MNET had actually done something to show her talents there is a good chance she would still be in the show.  Now we are back to worrying if she will ever manage to get out of the dungeon.  How many more heartbreaks and close calls does she have to go through before she gets to debut?  I hope she stays strong and doesn't give up on making it.

 

Maybe MBK can rethink DIA and move them away from the sexy side they had planned and add Dani to make it 9 members.  Or maybe she will be able to leave MBK and get another agency who knows what to do with her.  Anything that doesnt involve her being put back in the stupid dungeon :(((

I wouldnt go as far as comparing Dani to Chanmi. Seriously... The poor girl gets hated all over the place and called names. Dani isnt. Chanmi got tons of screentime (in first episodes, yet it was negative editing. Dani got no editing. I would actually understand if they tried to give all 101 (97) girls screentime. But nope. Giving three kidsbasically whole ep of screentime while others who survive as long as zhem got only 3 minutes in whole show? This makes me bitter.

 

But I really agree with all other points you made.

Different kind of hatred perhaps.  MNET really done Chanmi over and deliberately edited her to come across a certain way.  For Dani it was a bit different...there certainly was an element of hatred to some of the comments about her early on.  This was because she was ranking so high but was never on screen.  

 

And the attitude towards Dani was totally different to say Doyeon who got even less screen time.  Doyeon had no pre conceptions so was new to the public and association to Yoojung which helped.  However Dani didn't have that...first she had association to T-ARA (Now I dont want to annoy any Tara fans that are here, but being honest their rep in Korea isn't great) which would have hurt.  She had association to MBK which isn't exactly the most popular company in Korea...and sadly and wrongly she was associated as being part of the "MBK girls already have a group to go back to etc".

 

So taking that and the fact she got no screen time it was always going to be an uphill battle for her.  She was never given the chance to show herself until the last song where her rap suddenly made people sit up and take notice and that was to late to suddenly make a difference to the voting.  

 

I hope we get some good news about Dani though...I keep forgetting that she is still relatively young (17 !!!) and already had so many close calls.  She deserves to be on stage.

The SoDa squad from 101 was so good.. It's a pity we never really got to see it apart from the odd behind the scenes stuff. Somi, Dani, Soyeon, Yoojung, Haeyoung, Gauel, Jungmin and Eunbean.

 

She has not posted anything on Instagram for a while and I don't know if that's a good thing or not :(

DIA just announced their comeback with Cathy and Chaeyeon...I was honestly expecting an announcement about Dani joining them...but nothing.

 

If she doesnt get to join the group now then I am going to be mad and she needs to get out of this crappy company.  She is going to waste in that crappy dungeon and it annoys me that they would happily add someone to DIA we know nothing about yet (Chaewon) but they wouldnt do anything with Dani.

Definitely not happened sadly.  Dani's instagram posts shows she is doing a photo-shoot and she commented on Chaeyeon's instagram saying "pretty" meaning she was not at Jeju for any secret filming.

 

Basically MBK have put Dani back in the dungeon all over again.  I am so freaking mad.  As much as I love who close Dani/Chaeyeon are Dani just needs to get up and leave MBK and go elsewhere.  She wont be a solo act...a Duo with Shannon would never work IMO so unless MBK have got a 2nd girl group ready to go then I just want her out and to another agency that will actually let her debut.

Sadly I still think she is going to have to leave MBK if she ever wants to debut and I think at this point she needs to be brave and make things happen for herself.  I mean I know she is close to people inside MBK (not all of them are as mad as KKS lol) but another agency would certainly give her a chance that I dont think is ever going to come at MBK.

 

Also there is some translated comments from her recent photoshoot.  I put it in spoilers..mostly because none of them are positive, mostly because reading them makes me want to fly to Korea and punch some people in the face...and mostly because I hate the fact that these stupid websites never give a decent mix of comments.  Surely there has to be some positives in there as well.

Im kinda sad and happy at the same time.  Suhyun and Haein have been picked up by LOEN and will likely get to debut with Soyeon - which is great for them but that now leaves Dani and Gaeul as my remaining favourites that still need to debut.  Part of me hoped and wanted Dani to leave MBK and go to LOEN/Fantagio and debut there but that looks totally unlikely now.  Im just sad because I am starting to really worry that we might never get to see her debut as part of an idol group

My wish as always is for her to get her chance to debut.  

 

Its weird to think that she is only just turning 17 (making her younger than the likes of Yoojung, Doyeon, Sohye, Mina, Yeonjung Park Soyeon etc)  It sometimes feels like she is older because she has been around for quite a while (going back to T-ara days and stuff).  She is still young enough to get a chance at this - so please let 2017 be here year - go get that debut, in MBK or out if she has to.  She is to talented to not get this chance.
