i am expecting something similar to Orange Caramel, which is what i wanted but this could all be a trick by FNC and just be the intro of the album. 

Exactly. Or it could also be a little part of a non-title track from the album. So the title track itself may be nothing like this. I guess only when we get a teaser will we know for sure.

 

I do like the name AoA Cream. Had a problem with favourite member since I have 2 bias in kpop and they are Chanmi and Yuna so that cause confusion for me. I chose Yuna for now since she has the least votes but that can change and i may change my mind lol.

AOA you just made me CREAM da hell. These visuals are awesome, but I'm not yet sold on the music.  I've been let down too many times by the samples artists release, then turns out that was the only awesome part of the song.

Also you have to remember that FNC haven't always been truthful with the music we heard. Look at Like a Cat. They played that really heavy music part right at the start of the MV. When in reality that was just an introduction part and had absolutely nothing to do with the main song. So they could easily be doing it again here

Looks to me like a Cinderella kind of thing here. Look at Yuna's outfit. Quite plain. Not a lot of detail. Nothing special about it. They all look okay but the outfits have no wow factor. But we have the transformer teaser. LLike the fairy godmother transforms Cinders and give her beautiful clothes.

 

I think the way this was shot was deliberate to show more the transformation tomorrow.

Damn that is definitely colourful. I am honestly not knowing what to think but the song sounds like it has a good beat. I just don't link AoA to a full cute concept. I think I would have always wanted something quite strong on dance with using 3 members that can all dance. This is going to be very interesting

I think after all the crap she has been given about looking ugly and being fat that she deserves a few biased people on her side. But no you are not wrong. She really is standing out recently. I admit Chanmi became my bias because I liked her attitude. I always found her cute and pretty but her attitude really stood out to me but recently her visual has just become really strong and I think it has caught a few people out.

 

Nope. Maknae has been getting prettier and prettier for a while now. She looked better than ever in Oh Boy, but it looks like she's on track to set a new high mark on this comeback.

Totally agree. She stood out with Oh Boy and I was happy with that. But somehow she has taken the visual up yet another notch for AoA Cream to the point where she can stand next to Yuna and Hyejeong and even netizens say there is no black hole visually. Not bad for a girl that used to be called fat and ugly. She proved them all wrong

I was just reading through the celeb news and gossip board and as I looked at the replies on different posts I had to smile at all the AoA Cream gifs. There are lots of them out there. A lot of the names who have them I don't even recognise lol. Guess that shows the anticipation out there

yes they are still AOA but like I said AOA is public driven. And the fact is that these 3 members are the least known. Slowly with teasers some people are learning more about them. 

 

I hope they do well but it will be harder for them than lets say a group where all members are really well known to the public. However, I think this was a great idea by FNC. It will get them more known and if it doesnt do well then the excuse is well they werent really known (persona gave a great explanation of why fnc could choose to go with hyejeong, yuna, and chanmi when we were guessing members and I think it hit the nail on the head).

 

I think it is only digital. Either way their physicals wouldnt make a substantial difference on music shows and it would just increase production cost/aka debt of AOA members to the company. So I think in the end, digital is better.

 

And on your third point, one of the reasons this group is such a good idea is that it would allow Yuna and Hyejeong to showcase their talents. Public doesnt know they sing. They are always like Choa hard carries AOA or only CHoa can sing. So this will open their eyes. But going into it, a lot of people dont know this. Outside of fans no one is going to come listen for that reason. 

 

I think mainly curiosity of AOA subunit and fans are going to be the people streaming when it comes out. What FNC is hoping to do is get enough people that casually know AOA or one of their members curious about the subunit, then they will check it out and hopefully like the song. 

I think this is an 'all in' tactic by FNC here and it is quite clever. Yes as I explained FNC don't have a lot to lose if this song and sub-unit flop. Chanmi, Yuna and Hyejong will still pick up a few more fans each. Maybe not many but they will be a little more popular. But in the big picture it won't bother FNC and they will just shelve the sub-unit and it's over, those 3 will probably remain less known than the other member from that point on and if they can't convert this chance into popularity then I think we are safe to assume that nothing is going to work.

 

However consider what FNC get if this song does well. Okay it obviously won't make their names as big as Seolhyun etc because there won't be that amount of public interest. But even if it raises their profile enough to get solo CF deals or drama role offers etc that will raise their profile even higher over time, then FNC finishes up with a 7 member group where every member is bringing in solo money as well as group money. Quite a few times companies will settle for having 1 or 2 big members and squeezing them dry. FNC is going for a full house with AOA. A full group generating both group and solo money would be really beneficial. That is partly why (in my opinion) that FNC has put some money into the AoA Cream teasers etc. They need to give these girls the best opportunity possible because the pay off if it works will be worth it.

 

Of course could be wrong. That's just how i have been seeing it.

they dont even need to be solo CF level but if they become well known or known for something it will open the doors for them. Right now it must be hard for FNC to promote them more. 

 

So far I think they are doing a good job pushing the girls in AOA Cream. We will see them doing a few solo activities in February. I am really hoping this song does well. 

 

Yes true it doesn't need to be solo. Even if get them jobs as a trio it will still raise their public profile over time and that will make it a lot easier to get all the members a schedule in the future whether that is solo, sub-unit or as a full group. So I think if this succeeds FNC are going to have made a very smart move.

 

I was thinking the other day (mentioned it to someone) if this is how well accepted AoA Cream has been I can't wait to see the hype when AoA Black comes back. There will be more popular members in that so I think the hype will be pretty big. Well I hope so but if how AoA Cream has been received is anything to go by then AoA Black should comeback with some really good interest

The video is certainly colourful. I am detecting a hint of AoA in the dance so there will be a dash of sexiness creeping in. I still need to hear the full song to be sure what I think of it but I do like the sound of it.

Yep everything is now in place. I remember mentioning to Mguemon that I was concerned how FNC was handling the promotion of the sub-unit at first. I felt it started to slow. Like they announced there was going to be a sub-unit then no news for about 4 or 5 days. Then they unveiled the members in it and then nothing again for a couple of days. But Mguemon was right when she said FNC know what they doing and it will be right in the end. That has certainly proven to be true. I still think they should have released the MV teaser a few days ago. Only dropping it the day before doesn't give a lot of time for the hype to build from the teaser. But I do admit that except for the MV teaser FNC have done really well and the promotion has been great, to the point were the hype level is pretty high. Even netizens are loving on them right now. Even NB is translating nice articles and that usually never happens for AoA.

Now we just need a good song and the girls to bring 110% and then we can only hope the public take to it.

 

My first impression is good. By good I mean I had to listen to the teaser a few times before I started to think it was good. I didn't like HA at first and it became their best performing song. So I am hoping the fact I didn't love this instantly is a good sign!.

Most of them didn't like cutesy concept that much...

But they totally loved AoA Cream's I'm Jelly Baby...

It is a different kind of cute as it is magical, hyper and seductive...

So it's really a combination of things not just cutesy...

I haven't seen one yet who didn't like the video...

Yeah I was watching the reaction videos too. A lot of the reason they didn't go wild over it was because (as usual) AoA think outside the boox and don't like to use the generic go to styles that many use. They usually put a twist onit and with this magical girl concept thrown in I don't think many of the reactioners know how to react

 

Personally though when I watched it the first several times I wasn't too keep on  it. The I realised what was wrong. The MV was distracting me from listening to the song properly. So I listened without watching the video and instantly liked. Now I can watch the MV too and still love the song.

Btw who's the best english speaker in AOA?

Yuna sounds good when she has time to practice and get it right, like we see at the start of Really Really

 

and she sings well in English too, as we see here

 

 

But if you just walk up and talk to her in English she pretty much sucks haha. Kinda shows that given enough time you can learn to speak any language with good pronunciation but there is a difference between 'repeating' English and speaking it naturally. For that I have no idea. I don't think any of them are particularly strong when it comes to having a natural conversation in English.
