I've got a family member who wants to follow but I don't want them to, but I don't want to deny them either, so I'm thinking shall I unprotect my account and then reprotect it. What I'm hoping is that by taking it off protect all the people who want to follow will disappear and and then when I protect again they won't be there and will have to try and refollow again. I just want to make sure though, what will happen to my current followers, will I lose them all If I protect my account again or will nothing change for them. Only thing is now its let those who wanted to follow, follow me so now my family member is following. It's your twitter account after all; that family member of yours ought to respect your preference not to have him/her follow you on twitter. If he/she gets offended as a result, well, too bad, he/she would just have to deal with it. Sometimes, you just have to stand up for yourself and not say "yes" when you actually wanted to say "no".
