Will Lay be the next Taemin?

Since Lay is getting a solo album and his vocals have been steadily improving, do you think he'll be able to pull a "taemin" and go from being an amazing dancer and decent vocalist to one of the strongest in the group? Maybe on par with the vocal trio?

not shading but Lay is more well-rounded than taemin and has more potential.  He's only seen as a dancer and semi vocalist in Exo but he has way more talent then people know. He composes, plays piano and guitar.  If you watch him whenever he has a solo stage he owns it.

Taem can do that too

But I can't wait for Yixing solo debut... ^^ I listened his composition songs (maybe), and it is great.. his voice too..

no.

like someone here already said Taemin is killer on the piano and starts to compose too (in addition to singing, dancing, visuals, professionalism, stage presence)

..don't know why "playing guitar and piano" is sth. special though because every idol in SM is getting piano lessons and you can learn the basics of guitar in one month :D

Taemin composed his album ????

on his first album he contributed only in lyrics, but as he is interested in composing a long time already there is a rumor that he composed some songs on the new album (not the whole of course)

It's funny how people think that "puling a Taemin" is easy. It doesn't happen overnight. Taemin worked his butt off for years before his vocals improved. Honestly, if the person doesn't have a natural talent and the drive and patience, there's no way in hell that they're making it

Not shawols negging every post praising Lay.

the other way around it would be the same, no..?

and because

if you know Taemin and all the things he is able to do it's quite ridiculous that a member of EXO could pull off the same level tbh  (except Kai maybe..but he is not a good singer)

Taemin is a idol since he is 15 (2008) and started training when he was 11/12

so he has way more experience than Lay

he could be, maybe even more popular who knows. maybe not necessarily in korea since they kinda hate lay but China and most of exos fanbase will have his back.

the only thing he's lacking in are his vocals, as much as I adore his voice, there's still a lot of room to improve but I'm looking forward to see him progress and be a triple threat.

Not a shawol but I don't think Lay is close to being the next Taemin. Taemin has enough talent to stand out in a group with Jonghyun, Onew and Key (sorry Minho, you're lovely too, but...)   who are pretty amazing. Lay can hold his own singing and dancing in EXO but he isn't close to being as good as the vocal line and he isn't a Kai, either. It's about 'presence' on stage too....again, I don't think Lay stands out.

I don't think so

 eh.  I disagree here too
