Do you think Crystal K will succeed with her Kickstarter?

I feel bad because she's probably going to take an honest and fair approach to the US music industry the way everyone should, but won't get much out of it.

The last thing I want is for her classy image to be damaged, but the only way she could gain enough PR is by doing something stupid and attention-whorish. Her face and music isn't fresh anymore, so it's hard to see what she could accomplish.

Crystal Kay has an opportunity to become moderately known and successful within the underground and independent community. The independent community has supported and taken care of acts like Tinashe, Solange, Sza, Liz, Kilo Kish, and Jhene Aiko who have been gaining traction and exposure with each of their respective releases. Crystal Kay has to change and further develop herself to match the material that Solange, Sza, and Jhene Aiko have been releasing without alienating her original audience. Dum Ditty Dumb is modern and contemporary that falls in line with the material being released by Rihanna, Maluca, Dai Burger, and various others. It's worth mentioning that Crystal Kay has connection with Far East Movement, Jason Mraz, and Travis McCoy. Kay isn't going to be successful asking for such a large amount especially from a community that won't benefit from the record. Universal has already separated themselves from this process and won't be backing it. Crystal has been going about her debut in the wrong way and targeting an audience that isn't going to care or support her. It isn't looking good for Crystal Kay. @DocumentaLy and @Midna Crystal Kay has released a cover of Safe and Sound by Capital Cities. She's mentioned releasing covers on her youtube account but hasn't delivered.
