yeritbhfam 38 Posted January 24, 2016 Share Posted January 24, 2016 what if someone just wants to say what they feel about the subject do you ever agree with someone's opinions but you look at the post and see 10 or 20+ downvotes on it like WE'RE SUPPOSED TO THINK IN A WAY LIKE THIS IS BAD, AND THIS OPINION ISN'T BAD i feel like this downvoting system is pretty flawed with the fact that it makes people look away from the post, it makes people think the post is just a troll post is there no such thing as having a free opinion anymore? why should people be shamed for saying what they feel? they cant post what they want to post? what if theyre not spamming, or trolling, or doing something against the rules? yet, why do they become condemned for what they're saying? there's no true individuality because people are afraid to say what they want to say or they'll keep getting downvotes and a bad rep and most users don't want that. i think everybody's opinions are different and matter, even if they express negative views. i don't think posts should be able to be mass downvoted so people ignore it as if it doesn't or shouldn't exist. it doesn't make sense. or vice versa, where peoples posts are mass upvoted to the point where it becomes gospel and people follow and agree with the post because they feel like they're supposed to Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If it hinders you from saying what you want ,then you simply should not be on a forum. There will always be people who will disagree with you no matter what. Removing the upvote down vote system won't change that. People don't down vote you because you already got a bad rep, they down vote you because they disagree with you. They also don't randomly upvote you. Or we would have tons of post with 50+ upvotes and those rarely happen. They usually only happen when new music is released.
