Before Taemin releases his second album...

Let's appreciate his first one!

 

I think Ace was honestly such a solid album and every single track is enjoyable. I remember that a lot of people were pissed that Taemin got the first solo album of SHINee instead of Jonghyun or Onew (most likely because they have more vocal abilities) but I honestly think SM did a right move with giving him that solo album and he didn't disappoint. 

 

I'm going to talk briefly about my Top 3 songs from the album (funny how my Top 3 songs are the first 3 in the tracklist )

 

The first track was the sexy-sounding with R&B vibes Ace which is one of my favorites. His vocals sound extremely on point and that choreo~~ 

 

 

 

The next track was the title song, Danger. When listening to most of the SHINee albums I often think that some b sides are stronger that the title track but in this occasion, Danger in my opinion was the perfect title track. The MV was amazing, the concept was amazing, the dancing was amazing, the styling was amazing and the beat was amazing. I have replayed this song countless times so I sometimes skip this track when it comes on my playlist   But I really enjoy it.

 

 

 

Next is Experience. This is probably my favorite song of Ace at the moment. When I first listened to the whole album I overlooked this track so many times but I've seen the light and realized the total bop that this song actually is. This is such an unique song that gives cowboy movie vibes and I was so happy we got at least a performance of this song.

 

 

 

But only when you thought that amazing music and dancing skills was enough for Taemin...we were all wrong.

I honestly am super excited for his second album and to see what direction he's going to take. What concept is he going to do? what kind of choreography is he going to bless us all? is he going to rap?  but I am almost certain we won't be disappointed...so please anticipate the slayage!

I loved his solo! My faves are Danger, Wicked and Pretty Boy. Honestly his solo was more my style than Jonghyuns was so I'm really excited. I really liked the concept he had too (although the makeup was a bit much at times).

my favorites were ace and play me because of their atmospheric quality (both thematically and musically). experience and pretty boy were my least favorite but his performances of these song were really good.

Ace is a great mini album. My memories are usually related to songs and Play Me means a lot to me. Ace is my favorite one.
