What makes Zoella different from others make up youtube channels?

Tbh, I dont watch a lot of make up tutorials on YT cause I'm always sporting the hobo look, but recently I've been thinking about changing my make up style.

 

So I looked nto some good and popular youtubers and almost everyone mentioned Zoella as one of the best.

 

I've never watched any of her videos but I've heard of her so I'm wondering what makes her so special? :P

I remember Michelle Phan used to be the big thing haha

Michelle Phan... I used to like her but her channel has become so bland and boring. Doesn't help that she doesn't have that much of a personality. (Sorry Michelle Phan fans)

 

I'm currently following Lisa Eldridge. She's so good!

If you want glam but still a bit natural then go for Estee Lalonde, Claire Marshall, I Covet Thee, MakeupTIA, Fleur de Force, Ingrid Nilsen

 

If you want full glam then go for PatrickStarrr, NikkieTutorials, Tati, Jaclyn Hill, Carli Bybel, Makeup Geek, Jackie Aina

 

If you want something in between go for KathleenLights, Brittany Sarah, Amelia Liana, Bailey B, Emilynoel83

 

If you want more Asian gurus go for Raeview, Sammmage, From Head to Toe, Clothes encounters, Chriselle Lim, Pony, EmJustLikeYou

I'm not sure, I know she's related to Joe Sugg (another Youtuber) so that might explain where a lot of interest in her comes from (for example KSI's quite a famous Youtuber and his brother's channel has subsequently got a lot of attention from that), so there could be a link there I'm not sure.

Zoella is overrated, she's only popular because mostly 13 years olds watch her. I cannot stand her bf Alfie, that guy is getting too big headed.

Her make-up is crap. If you want proper make-up tips follow ACTUAL make-up artists - who know their stuff - like Lisa Eldridge, Wayne Goss, Pixi Woo and Charlotte Tilbury (Lisa and Pixi Woo are my favourite).

Pixiwoo is great for learning! I'd recommend figuring out what kind of look you want and then searching for that. I like Estee Lalonde, ilikeweylie, BeautifyMeeh, Bubzbeauty (always love her!), FromHeadToToe, and Zabrena (for cheap recommendations/dupes).

i've seen a couple of her videos before and she's alright, not my type of makeupgurus. but i do enjoy tati a lot (like what a lot of users here already said). i like to watch kathleenlights too. zabrina is a good channel as well, especially her frugal fridayz. emilynoel, she's informative but the only thing i dislike about her is her major long talk at the beginning of every single one of her videos. 

 

i discovered kashaulbeauty today and i'm loving her tutorials, plus she's gorgeous too. 

let's see...who else do i like...

sometimes...SOMETIMES, i like to watch itsjudytime...

 

and those are the only ones i can think of right now that i actually do enjoy watching lol.
