I'm scared if Twice promotes in Japan

The situation in China doesn't look good for Twice at the moment. I'm worried that JYPE might decide to switch tactics and have Twice promote in Japan instead. I'm worried that Mina may be asked questions about Dokdo, comfort women etc or some nettoyo starts some shit with her and then JYPE will force her to make a mock isil video.

Here is a gif of cute Mina trying to wink.

you don't need JYPE to make a mocking ISIL video Japan has done that numerous times....

also the Japanese already issued acknowledgement and apologize formally for the comfort women issue in Korea

What is Dokdo ? And why would they ask her that  ?

The Liancourt Rocks, called Dokdo (ë…ë„, ç¨å³¶; "solitary island") in Korean and Takeshima (竹島; "bamboo island"), are a group of islets in the Sea of Japan whose ownership is disputed between South Korea and Japan. There are valuable fishing grounds around the islets and potentially large reserves of methane clathrate.[58]

The territorial dispute is a major source of nationalistic tensions.[59] Since the South Korean government bases its legitimacy partly on the notion that it defends South Korea from North Korea in the North and from Japan from the south, nationalism has been stoked over this issue. Korean tourists visit the remote, inhospitable island, in order to show national solidarity.[59] In Japan, maps mark the islands as being Japanese territory.

A useless rock in the middle of the fucking ocean.

A proxy for setting the boundaries of undersea oil and gas reserves, let's be real.

But still not anywhere close to worth all the damage it's caused both sides.

i think japanese fans are known for being really humble and appreciative of foreign artists, i doubt there's anything to worry about if they do decide to promote over there

The OP mentioned netouyo rather than general fans in Japan. I don't think anybody will ask such a question anyway.

It's not since ancient times.

It's essentially a war gain from the Japanese Fascist period that the US didn't properly dispose of after the WWII.

Essentially after WWII the Allies including the US had the responsibility to administer territories that the Axis had at the end of the war by designating them "Liberated" or "Occupied" territory. While the European shit like Paris and Berlin got the right designations because... you know that shit was important to white ppl and Jews... the stuff in the Pacific basically got all labeled as "Occupied." This is actually one reason why Korea was partitioned like Occupied Germany instead of repatriated like Liberated France.

among the things the US couldn't be bothered with were a bunch of little islands. Not only Dokdo but islands to the SW and NW. Basically due to American fuckups in the course of the Americans trying to bolster the Japanese (which we wanted as prosperous and secure as possible since the US knew we would have unilateral possession of for decades after the war) we just gave all that shit to Japan.

There's Dokdo but Japan is fighting with basically every single neighbor it has in the Pacific over some territory it took during the war which it never returned: Russia, China, Taiwan, South Korea, North Korea etc etc

this is not UNUSUAL. The US fucked up East Asia, including "losing China" which eventually lead to the ROC/PRC thing that Tzuyu was involved in but we fucked up the Middle East as well by making nations that purposefully gerrymandered single ethnic tribes into multiple countries and created single nations that deliberately pitted traditional enemies against one another

If she's asked about sexual slavery she'll echo Abe and say Japan fucked up. Abe's own grandfather was literally a Class A War Criminal and if even he agrees how the hell is anyone going to disagree.

About Dokdo Mina will say that she has no idea wtf that is. Which will be a true answer because no one in Japan knows or cares what that is. To the Koreans there's 1 island that ppl are pissing about.... Japan has like 50 territories and crimes and shit it's trying to cover up from being Fascists like Nazis for 50 years in the 20th century. The average Japanese literally doesn't know all that crap

I'm pretty sure after this JYP is going to ban any "political" questions.

Tzuyu was never even asked anything.

She had a prop Taiwan flag (not Taiwan independence flag but literally ROC flag) that the producers gave her, to go with the Japanese flags Sana & the girls had.

Her holding the flag was not even BROADCAST on TV. On a live stream after the show or something, Tzuyu was being a kid and playing with the flag while lying on her bunk bed or something and 1 of the cameras picked it up.

so the original question isn't even valid. If he's going to give an analogous situation for Mina that Tzuyu had there's NO question and no controversial answer. Mina is just walking down the street doing something and ppl start flipping tables
