DISCOTHEQUE: THE MUSIC SHOWDOWN // SEASON II

Two year ago, a local club in Hallyusburg rose to fame with the flick of Drake’s wrist. The club got so popular, Jessica Jung herself even showed up a couple times to grace the world with her presence. The fame rose to the owners’ head, and a whole bunch of non-sense, not profitable changes happened. Flash forward to 2016 and everyone has forgotten about Club Hallyu. The owners are looking for a new, perhaps better source of entertainment to liven up the club again. And So, Season II of Discotheque begins. Artists, Bands, and Groups from all over hallyusburg have come running in hopes of restoring the club to the same level of fame it was once at. Will you be the one to win the competition or will you stumble and fall forever branding yourself in the flophallyu wall of fame?




GAME RULES

WELCOME TO SEASON II
This season will be like season one in many ways. You Select an artist, be it a solo artist an idol group, or even a band, you only get to choose once and you only get to choose one. Once you have decided on your representative, you have to stick with their discography the whole competition, (I suggest you pick an artist with a lot of songs to choose from, with a vast, varying discography) submitting a song (unless stated otherwise) that best matches the theme. Your song will then be scrutinized by a panel of judges who will give you a score out of ten, and give their input on what they think about your submission. To add some drama, your competitors will also score the submissions.
**We scraped contestant voting because A) Artists may group together to sabotage another act, and B) Some acts may not be able to listen to all 24 songs, and its unfair if only 3 or 10 people vote when there are many more acts.

• After the judges’ critiques announced, the Charts will be revealed and, the eliminations will take place.

Overtime scores are kept and added together to make up the OVERALL ANNUAL CHART POINTS, and the contestant with the most points wins!! This competition is based off of consistency more than “ooh I had a banger for this round~ I should win.†No. That’s not how it works. The artist with the better overall music will win.
There will be 10 rounds, and 24 contestants. We ran out of funds so we could only afford to buy enough microphones for 18 acts, truthfully, so for some rounds there will be two or three eliminations per round aside from round one.

  Be able to submit on time (There will usually be a round spread out into two days. Around 7-8 hours for you to submit, and the results will be announced the next day, where the contestant voting will take place. If people submit quicker, and judges judge faster, then we may possibly have shorter rounds. Bonus rounds will happen at random intervals)
