V.M. 752 Posted January 15, 2016 Share Posted January 15, 2016 I'm not saying they are all bad the likes of 1N2D, Running Man pass the time ok. Maybe there is some really good ones not getting subbed too like Real Men and that Whats in My Fridge show which is supposed to be good but I can never find subs. KBS offerings outside of 1N2D and at times Cool Kis.. have been really rather rubbish lately. I can't be arsed with Return of Superman anymore its boring. The horrible mess that is Happy Together sums them up atm. Alot of the idol shows have died off to. Whats in my fridge, radio star, I live alone and many many more. I know I was starting to get a bit bored, but the last two weeks have been so much fun with the new influx of subbed shows. Ya'll need to expand your kvarieties beyond the same gagmen, bodygag and scripted MBC/SBS/KBS varieties (and I say this as a long time watcher of running man) Go watch The Genius and Crime Scene from tvn and jtbc. North and South 4,680 Posted January 15, 2016 Share Posted January 15, 2016 I completely agree. Idol variety is pretty much no more. Running Man and 1N2D are good, but very much the same thing. Too many Problematic Men isn't being subbed from what I can tell, and the "gameshow" format of old is also gone. Dream Team is close, but it's a shadow of it's former self. Crime Scene is incredible but it's not on frequently enough. I don't think I can ever get into Infinity Challenge either despite all the praise; it seems too fake to me. Shows like SGB and and FO were so cool, it was like meeting a new person every day, getting to know BTS gossip, learning quirky personality traits about your favourite celebs and rediscovering new ones. The variety shows now seem far too contrived? When will we ever get a legendary episode like this for example again There should be more collaboration between idol groups, less of the stupid "plots" and "scripts" that are all too obvious, and just something more DYNAMIC.
