Would you be ok with a transgender female taking part in female sports?

Hormone therapy is considered as doping, so not possible to qualify. Like doping in East Germany in 1980's.

And yes, it would be unfair because men are better at sports than women. There's currently no sport that can be fairly calculated (mins, meters, kgs, etc.) where women hold better record than men as far as I know.

There's a reason why women don't compete with men and why there are age and weight categories in sports.

I dunno how'd people take it honestly, probably a bit on the negative side as sport is supposed to be as fair as possible, the only deciding factor should be your technical ability.

Doping is a MASSIVE problem and that's between athletes of the same gender, some sports like road cycling have lost prestige and respect due to it. A trans person would most likely have operation, medications, hormone changes etc which can potentially give unfair disadvantes over competitors.

i think its against the rules in the olympic.

you have to be born  a female to take part as a woman.

cause there was this controversy about a woman who won a race by a huge margine and she was masculine, so she was forced to have gender tests to prove she was born female cause people suspected she was born male and  it was against the rule or something.

edit: she was a  hermaphrodite, and allowed to compete in the future after a year of debating.

But there are biologically born women who are physically closer to men. How would that be any different than a transsexual woman competing in female sports?

This reminds me of the controversy when Caster Semenya won in the Olympics and people said it was unfair because she had the physiology of a man.

I'm for all inclusion of trans women in everything but

it can seem mean but in stuff like the olympics even the slightest difference in strength can make or break you, and there'd most definitely be an instance where all the cis females simply cannot be as strong as a transgender woman could possibly be no matter what they do

it's hard to say, there's so many factors involved

Are you talking about that 800m runner? Because she was born a hermaphrodite.

Just saw you posted almost the exact same thing as me.

Yes, she was born a woman however she has testosterone levels above that of an average woman but too low to move her to the 'male' category in the Olympics.

No she was born a woman
