Hong Beans 308
Don't get me wrong, I love all of Sweetune's releases but why is that all of the artists they produce for, besides Infinite and KARA, have failed miserably to grab wins despite the tracks being absolute bops. NineBraveMuses 3,326
Sweetune/Monotree, usually produce songs for middle and lower tier groups. So regardless of how good the song is, if the group isn't popular they will have a hard time being successful because they lack fan support. Infinite and Kara were/are very big groups in Kpop, so their success is based on their fanbase. Groups like Stellar, Nine Muses, Rainbow, ect, have never been popular enough to win shows, no matter how great their music is. They can come close but always end up losing out to more popular groups with inferior music. It's all about popularity. If Sweetune/Monotree worked more with the bigger groups, then there is a better chance the music will be more successful.

dragonfly0915 3,245
Your composer is never a guarantee of success. It takes the the right song at the right time with the right concept to be successful. Nine Muses' lack of success shocked me the most, because they had the most coherent concept and sound... but then Korean tastes have always been a mystery, they consistently pass up the good solid songs for stuff that's either basic or bores me to tears. And this is why the two shouldn't be compared. They are two different teams. It's like saying Hyuna is still a part of Wonder Girls because she used to be a part of them before.
