Article: Stars participate in lolita pictorials... is it okay?

Source: Ilgan Sports via Nate

1. [+539, -48] Pedo perverts ã…¡ã…¡

2. [+445, -35] How is this at all considered art? Pedophilia is sexual perversion and a mental disorder. This is a straight up gravure pictorial.

3. [+445, -40] Since when did lolita become a personal taste...

4. [+60, -5] Sigh, such cheap looking pictures

5. [+58, -4] A mental disease is not art~

6. [+52, -5] To all of you defending Rotta's work as art, then why don't you defend Go Young Wook? How is he any different from Go Young Wook? Go Young Wook put what Rotta promotes into action and was punished for it. Celebrities always try to get away with their disgusting desires by calling it art but they're no different from people like Go Young Wook who commit such acts.

7. [+48, -3] I honestly consider anyone who clicks 'like' on pictures like this as a pervert ã…  makes me not want to hang out with them

8. [+43, -2] Just how much more perverted things have you all seen if you don't think that there is a pedo element to this at all? Wearing Japanese style clothing with skin exposing and a facial expression that makes them seem innocent...

9. [+35, -2] Rotta said in an interview that his name is shortened for Lolita Otaku ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ Any man who enjoys looking at pictorials by a man who is a self proclaimed lolita otaku needs to get help.

10. [+31, -3] How can viewing a young child sexually be considered a 'preference'? That's just a mental disorder.

1. [+796, -129] Stuff like this needs to be exiled from the industry

2. [+540, -86] The media better not dare forgive stuff like this

3. [+464, -50] The photographer's name is Rotta... and yet you're claiming that there's nothing lolita about this? Is this a comedy?

4. [+220, -36] This is what we get for letting IU get away all these years with her lolita concept. IU started this by debuting with a perfectly planned and executed lolita concept, which hit its peak with her 'Zeze' and '23' concept. We should've gone harder in punishing her once she crossed a line that shouldn't have been crossed. I had a feeling that her concept would eventually lead to something like this, but who knew so fast? Look at everyone shooting all these lolita concept pictures now... It's not too late to demand that IU take down her songs.

5. [+178, -21] I'm sure these stars know that taking pictures like this would stir controversy and yet they did it anyway, reminding me of a certain someone..

6. [+148, -20] These pictures look like they're out of some pedo crime... like a pedo took a bunch of pictures of young girls with their skin exposed. Dohee-ya, have you lost your mind?

7. [+138, -11] Everyone has gone mad for the money

8. [+54, -2] This photographer is so full of himself that he doesn't even seem to know right from wrong anymore ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ He should be embarrassed but instead he's releasing more pictures like this and calling it art

innocent looking makeup and comfy sexy clothes don't make a concept lolita imo, i think there is a line but none of these pictures cross it.

yep

I mean ideally being a singer wouldn't mean you have to do these sort of sexy photos to sell at all, but under current circumstances this isn't really that bad. I know they're young adults and they look nice

IU's concept was riffing on the lolita concept, but it was doing it to be satirical and critique the fact that people did sexualize IU when she was a minor...which is what makes those comments so ridiculous. The satire just went right over their heads...

What exactly makes it Lolita? How old she is? Or is it the clothes?

Because this looks like a pretty normal magazine photo-shoot

It refers to age, I think Lolita stems from the book about with guy falling in love with a very young girl. Also there is a Lolita sub section in anime that sexualizes girls that look very child like. Given that guys name I think that he does draw inspiration from from this genre but there is worse out there, like in Japan when girls doing these type of photoshoots are actually underage.

i don't get how this is a "lolita" concept..... i mean, knowing the photographer's previous work it's pretty clear what he's trying to insinuate in his pictures, but just looking innocent yet erotic in itself isn't "lolita". and the girls are not underage so it's not pedophilia. these people need to chill. hate the photographer all you want but y'all are straight up pulling that "this is a lolita concept" stuff out of your asses.
